The Eclipse trailer starts out with a quick shot of Edward and Bella in their meadow, surrounded by flowers. This is similar to the dream meadow scenes we saw in “New Moon” (versus the drab version of the meadow Bella sees when she actually visits it), so it could be that this scene is a dream as well. However, with Edward actually around this time, it could be that the scene is Bella’s dream come true.

“I know the consequences of the choice you’re making,” says Edward.

The next series of shots involve Edward and Bella lying on a bed together, with him saying he understands the gravity of the decision she is making to become a vampire. Those who have kept up on their leaked “Eclipse” stills will also recognize this scene from the pretty hot and heavy make out photos that made their way onto the internet last month. This means we’re in Edward’s bedroom at the Cullen estate and Summit probably isn’t going to be showing us too much more of this scene any time soon.

And then there’s Jacob. Oh Taylor Lautner, we are so glad you are single now. Am I making it up that he looks even more buff in this trailer than he did in “New Moon”? Regardless, Summit had to throw this shot in, just in case “Twilight” fans forgot why they were coming back for more.

“Until your heart stops beating,” he finishes, while staring into Bella’s eyes.

While Jake’s line, “I’m going to fight for you until your heart stops beating,” had us swooning, it’s the look on Bella’s face that really caught our attention. We all know Bella and Edward are meant to be together — and so does she &38212; but here the conflict she faces between her soul mate and her best friend is really amped up. It just tied back to what we said earlier that this teaser is playing heavily on the love triangle “Eclipse” spends much of its time dealing with.

This last portion is just perfect in my mind. To me, Kristen’s eyes and facial expression scream, “Oh, no! You have not fallen in love with me, have you? ‘Cause I will pick Edward!  But I can’t hurt you.”

Mahriah’s take on the deeper meaning of  “the look” is lightly different from mine – “Don’t love me. I don’t want you to love me, because it will just make it that much harder. ”

Either way,  that is Eclipse in a nut shell.

this is the STUPIDEST thing i’ve read in a loooooong time!
1) the first ones are clearly not a dream… if you’ve read the book you know how much TOGETHER they are, there is no reason for her to dream
2) this is not from the leaked bedroom scene photos! the trailer shots are from Bella’s bedroom (the bed sheets are different, Edward is not wearing the same clothes!)…. stupid assumptions
3) bella is not looking like “im gonna hurt you jake”…. if you didnt notice she leans to kiss him in the very last second of the clip!

I’m glad those were quotes from MTV and not me. LOL

Well, that is why it is here – for Twilighters to comment. We can do the scene by scene analysis ourselves, and maybe do a better job than the “pros”. Looks like you are off to a great start.

That was stupid lol and when I was reading it I was thinking…..who even wrote this? I am glad other comments are saying the same thing because pretty much every thing that was mentioned was crap. I dont even think the second still was the same as the makeout scene……they are wearing different things and that looks like Bella’s bed. This part made me roll my eyes….

Since when were Twilighters watching the movie just to see Taylor Launter? Is this person out of their mind and no he doesnt look buffer…..I actually thought he looked ripped in New Moon but not in this still then too I have seen Kellan Lutz’s half naked CK Ads now so Taylor just doesnt compare. All in all this analysis shows that anyone can post things on the internet these day!

Wow, I dind’t know this little tease of ten seconds that Summit decided to let us in on would cause so much trouble. I agree with Joyce though. the books are about EDWARD and Bella damn it! Not Jake, who by the way is VERY obnoxious and annoying in Eclispe! I couldn’t stand him, or have we forgotten the books folks?

I wouldnt have hated Jake as much as I do now if it wasnt for Eclipse and all the times he tries (and succeeds) to kiss Bella. And having to endure a 1/3 of Breaking Dawn through his perspective was almost too much… I literally scratched with my nails the Eclipse pages where the dog kisses our undecided heroine. THATs how angry I was!
The books are about Edward. The films should be about Edward!
The real fans are team Edward!!!

Hahaha Joyce I love you he is the whole point of the book, Heck BELLA AND EDWARD ARE THE WHOLE POINT OF THE BOOK (SERIES) Jake in my opinion is like the side order on a main meal! Distration maybe? The analysis was terrible. I hate how Twilight has become so huge heck most ppl DO NOT even know the real story. Most havent even read the book or at least done some research! especially the one doing the analysis.

We are certainly not going to watch the movie because of Taylor and his half naked clan!!! Why is it so hard for them to get it EDWARD AND BELLA. I hope this is not going to be like how New Moon was! S Meyer said it. Twilight (Saga) is a love story that happens to have vampires. The talking heads keep saying they want to add action and fight scenes. Forget that. Men will not come to see the fight scenes in Eclipse. Women are there for the incredible romance that defines the Saga books.

This proves that these ppl who write this crap believe that Twilighters are shallow and dont care about the books….how many times do we have to prove them wrong? Is Taylor walking around showing his chest enough to keep me in my seat…..NO! Is switching up the story to make it “steamy” or more “action packed” going to satisfy the fans….definitely not! Sorry but it will take more than action and a short shirtless guy….sorry Taylor but the height distracts me….walking around to get the fans to see the movie. For the millionth time, we want Edward and Bella, the Cullens backstories, the compromises and negotiations….and oh yea I guess the Team Jacob people want him in it too lol. Like most of the ladies commenting, I liked Jacob until Eclipse when he decided to not take no for an answer and became a completely different person. I felt bad for him in New Moon but then he just turned into….as Taylor called him….”a psychopath who isnt in touch with reality.” Why do I have a feeling they are going to ruin the movie for me? Oh that’s right, because the people making them arent Twilighters, dont understand why we love the books, and definitely worry more about the big flashy stuff like taking off shirts and action sequences than the romance that kept us tuned in. I almost clapped when I read your comment, I agree completely!
We are not shallow! Perhaps those who only watch because of Taylor’s body are, but the real twihards are here because of the love story, the emotions, the conflicts, the obstacles and the happy ending.
UNfortunately, since this film is not made by us, I am guessing that it will be ruined with many shirtless bodies displays, unnecessary conflicts to increase the tension, too much fighting… generally, many little commercial tricks which most of us will DISlike
There is a lot of depth to the Saga and this is mostly represented in Edward’s character which often gets overlooked because of Jake’s chest or other “superficial” details.
For me, Edward isthe most complex of all, his thoughts and concerns deserve more attention and more movie time!
I really, REALLY hope that Eclipse will not just be making out scenes, naked guys and fighting!
I want to feel this amazing emotion I felt while reading the book!

I agree Chrissy and here was the first red flag. When Chris Weitz said the tent scene would be “steamy”…..are you kidding me? Every time I hear one of the directors or producers describe a scene I feel like they are talking about a completely different book. They lost the down to earth style and Indie vibe used in Twilight. Was Hardwicke the best director in the world, no, but she did understand that the true fans care about the book and it should show that in the movies. Stop worrying about the blockbuster hit status or box office numbers because those will come. Worry more about what even made that possible, the story and love between Edward and Bella. At first when I heard they were doing all of the films, I was excited but after watching New Moon and how they changed stuff to make it “cooler” by Hollywood standards aka the Volturi scene for example, I am dreading seeing Eclipse. Oh trust me I will see it lol. It is my favorite book besides Twilight, but I just know they wont do it justice and I am hoping that they prove me wrong. If so then I will be camped out in that theater to watch it multiple times like I did Twilight.

Arrrrgh, the “steamy” tent scene…. Im sure that the film will emphasize on Jake’s body, how close he is to Bella and all… I have to admit, the tent scene is my 2nd favourite in the book, but, considering how much anti-Jake I am, it’s not because of his proximity to Bella. i LOVE the scene because of the Edward-Jake conversation, the way in which they describe their feelings, the awkwardness but at the same time the normality of the situation… and i WILL be hugely disappointed when I see it all sexed-up (forgive my choice of words).
I hope they bring back the depth of the books in the films

I want to see the backstories, Bella and Edward’s moments alone, and really just the Cullens FINALLY getting to show who they are. I mean Rosalie and Emmett are supposed to be this uber passionate couple and yet we havent even seen them kiss or anything yet! I want to see Alice and Jasper interact more and even Carlisle and Esme. By cutting out that airport scene in New Moon when they get back from Italy they really dropped the ball on the Cullen family dynamics. There is just so much left to be desired at times but who knows maybe we will all be surprised and get to see the amazing scenes that played out in our heads as we read the book.

The Cullen dynamic was totally missing from the Twilight movie and I love them as a family. I am so hoping we get to bond with them via the background stories at least. They are crucial to the whole “wonderfulness”.

Ok, well I came on here to comment about the mtv comments. but you ladies have done a fine job at saying Exactly what I wanted to say. That second still is Obviously Bella’s room (see the pillows & covers MTV!) And NO Jacob/Taylor is NOT buffer in this movie! He is actually skinner. You can clearly tell just by looking at his face and neck size. –Just sayin. And as for the last still, well after seeing the trailor…i was thinking that was the scene in the forest when she doesnt want Jake to go and fight. So, he does the “kiss me & i”ll stay thing”. I may be wrong on the last one. But at least I dont look like that Fool from MTV that wrote the review!! That is all! LOL

YOu know Joyce, you are right on! I thought I was the only one crazy about twilight because of the lovestory..I used to think ppl just like the vampire aspect. It is almost like Romeo and Juliet but better (yeah, i said it) and for the twilight series I did not fall asleep while reading it in highschool unlike Romeo and Juliet (the beginnning)
