100 monkeys poster calendar

I arrived at Martini Ranch, with a girlfriend of mine, around 6:15 P.M. The doors werene’t open yet, and we were about the 6th ones in line. As we were waiting, we saw two Volvo C30’s drive by (Coincidence?) and we even got a honk from the 100 Monkeys, themselves, as they drove by. The doors opened a little bit late, but not nearly as late as the afternoon performance.

When we got into the club, we still had to wait quite a bit before the opening band, Random Karma, began playing. After their set and another twenty minutes of waiting, 100 Monkeys came on stage.

They opened with a song appropriately titled “Arizona“, which we all loved. You’ll have to forgive me for not knowing all of their song titles, but I can tell you that they put on one one of the most amazing live shows I’ve ever seen. Also, each and every band member seems truly grateful and appreciative that we all took time out of lives to see them.

Several times during the show, girls from the audience would yell out “Jerad, I love you!” To which, Jackson cleverly replied, “There’s enough Jerad to go around ladies. Oops, he’s married.”

At one point during their show, they asked the audience to suggest an idea for a song. They said they always like to improvise songs. The one they chose, came from a friend of mine.  Her suggestion was “Hyper-Color shirts from the eighties.” Lo and behold, Jackson and the boys worked it out and came up with a pretty awesome song about them.

My personal favorite moment of the night came when during a unusual quiet moment, I yelled out “I love you, Jackson!” and he replied with “I love you, too.” I was totally fangirling!

They closed their show with “Wasteland 2“, and then upon request from the crowd, performed “Keep Awake.”

All in all, I had an awesome time and would definitely see 100 Monkeys again, and highly recommend seeing them if you ever get the chance.

On a side note, i just wanted to remark on something that I certainly saw a lot of last night. Obviously, we are all fans, either of Jackson, 100 Monkeys, or The Twilight Saga. I think we should all show a little more respect toward one another. We are all there for the same reasons, and some rarely get the opportunity to get this close to the cast, so I think we should stop being so catty toward one another and trying to compete, and unite in our love and respect for these people.

I could not agree more with your last paragraph. We saw them for the 3rd time (twice in la) in our hometown of San Diego. The girls (maybe because it was all ages?!) were so catty…pushing my sis and i (who had front row) out of the way and yelling obscene stuff to jackson…Ugh it was embarrassing.

There’s another article posted on http://twilightsisterhood.blogspot.com/ It states that some fan fic writer by the name of “RobotMoose” was there and that there were “skanks” at this show. I am in full agreement with Mahriah’s last paragraph and that the only real skank there was RobotMoose. I felt everyone there was there as a fan of the 100 Monkeys and Jackson. As far as I am concerned there were no skanks at that show except for the one in the article posted at the twilight sister hood blog. You have to read this article. Unreal!
