There’s a recent article on Film.com which compares ‘Twilight’s’ Bella with ‘True Blood’s’ Sookie to see how they stack up against each other. Here’s a couple of the things they compare from the article:
Read the full article here. [Thanks Kim for the tip!!] What do you think? Do you agree? I have to say that I obviously disagree, because for me true love would always win no matter what. **But ‘True Blood’ is an excellent show and worth watching in my opinion. At least it gives us a good option until ‘New Moon’ comes out in November, which seems like forever away. Be sure to check out the Season 2 Premiere on Sunday at 9PM on HBO!! Here’s a sneak peak at Season 2: Related posts: |

They are both great characters and stories. Bella’s love story is better, Sookie is more of an adventure. I’m rooting for Bill, btw. As roll models, they are very different and both have good qualities. Bella is a young girl and Sookie is significantly older, so that make a huge difference. There is no greater love story though than B and E. |

I have to agree that Edward and Bella’s love story better. It’s pure and unwavering. Bella is a shy, insecure girl but throughout the series you see her grow. And in Breaking Dawn she becomes a vampire and discovers her gift, inturn proctecting her family (something that Edward cannot do, when it comes to the Volturi). She is the herione in Breaking Dawn. Sookie is a fiesty, confident women. And I agree that the Sookie series isn’t primarily about 1 love story, it is an adventure. In the book I was rooting for Eric but in the show I’m rooting for Bill. |

I loved Twilight as much as the next person, but I was not a huge fan of Bella. At times, she seemed almost pitiful (always thinking she wasn’t good enough, being easily controlled by Edward, falling for tricks others would have seen coming from a mile away) which, to me, makes for a weak role model. Now Sookie, on the other hand, has lived her life as an outsider and has coped with it quite well. She wasn’t given the education Bella received (due to her telepathic abilities), but she enjoys learning (e.g.,her word a day calendar) and wants to better herself however possible. I just feel that the positive qualities Bella possesses are also found in Sookie. The difference is, Sookie has other positive qualities, such as her confidence and her quirky spirit, that make me more inclined to say she’s the stronger character. And Eric–books and show–all the way. |

they’re both great, but i like sookie a lot more. i really hope that bill and sookie end up together in the books and the show, and that she becomes a vampire. |

Sookie is not gonna become a vampire… it would kill the story!!! Now about being a good role model, well Bella is a teenager, a very disturbed one btw, and they can be very erratic in their behavior, but that’s normal for 17 year old kids, give the girl a break… Sookie is a woman who knows better than to sit around and wait for the prince chamign to come to her rescue… she can do that herself, and with very little help, I like Sookie better, she is more adventurous, spirited and a lot more interesting than sweet little Bella. However the fact that they are both atracted to dead, dangerous man that potentially would better have them for dinner have them for dinner like there was no tomorrow says very little about them… but hey the market is really tough fur us girls when it comes to find a nice guy… vampire or mortal!!! |

Yeah, I just got the creeps out from watching the third twilight… It gives me the creeps another thing, they suppose to get a big revenue from the prequel right? (I haven’t watch them) so why the special effect looks like kid’s drawing?? cheap money grabber bastards |
