Just when we thought all the “Breaking Dawn” filming rumors had been put to rest lol! CBA actually hadn’t posted any of the recent BD casting/filming rumors but Lana Veenker posted this info on her blog so we consider it to be more reliable then anything we have heard so far…

Lana Veenker, who was the casting director for the Twilight movie, just posted some juicy info from Scene in Portland’s Kelly Jo Horton on her blog, The Casting Scoop. According to Scene in Portland, who Lana considers to be very reliable, The Twilight Saga will be returning to Portland to film Breaking Dawn. Here is an excerpt from the original article from Scene in Portland:

Will they stay in Vancouver or come back to Portland?

I made some calls to Los Angeles and spoke to a couple of industry insiders who would only speak to me off the record. The studio spokesperson I talked with most recently gave me the party line and said the rumors of Breaking Dawn coming to Portland are completely false. He said the press releases are fabricated, the third movie (Eclipse) is just wrapping, the fourth movie isn’t greenlit, it’s too soon to say anything about the fourth film… I appreciate the fact that he actually returned my phone call.

Now do you want the real scoop? Of course you do.

Twilight is coming back to Portland.

I can’t tell you how I know this, but I know this. According to a very reliable source, there are two production companies involved: Summit Entertainment and Sunswept Entertainment. The movie will be split into two separate films. Breaking Dawn Part 1 will most likely begin shooting in March of 2010 (despite rumors putting the start date as September 2010), which puts filming right smack-dab on the same schedule as Leverage. Portland will look like the backlot of Universal with Leverage and then the two Breaking Dawn movies shooting back to back.
Rumor has it that Karen Rosenfelt, producer at Sunswept Entertainment and the daughter of MGM Chairman & CEO Frank Edward Rosenfelt, is onboard for Breaking Dawn. I called Rosenfelt, and she was unavailable for comment.

This is what Lana has to say about Kelly Jo Horton, “We know Kelly Jo Horton personally and believe her to be a reliable source.” Read Lana’s blog about this scoop HERE.

Breaking Dawn split in two?! Filming Part 1 in March 2010?! *thud* *dies*

Now of course Summit hasn’t confirmed anything yet so this is still just a RUMOR but at least this, according to Lana Veenker,  is more reliable info then some of the internet rumors that have been flying lately.

Let us know what you think.

Im not a huge fan of them splitting the book into two films. I think the book they could have easily done that with is Eclipse since there is sooooo much stuff to fit into two hours but Breaking Dawn? What this tells me if it is true is that they are going to harp on the Jacob POV a lot and what he was doing….which I dont care about. Not sure how quickly the honeymoon will go by. Of course there are soo many questions to ask about how much time they are spending on everything but i would hate for them to spend tons of time on the buildup to nothing that is the Volturi non battle at the end. For Eclipse it would have been perfect to do two movies because so many backstories, battles, training, tension, trials and so forth happen but in BD besides the controversial imprinting….I dont see what really can be harped on for two whole films.

I dont think this is true. Both main actors have a full booked up year ahead of them with different movies. When are they going to have time to film Breaking Dawn until they are done with other previously signed contracts? They finish filming Eclipse on October 31st. Apparently they start filming BD 1 in March 2010. Thats like 4 months in between for Rob to film what, like 2 or 3 movies. I dont think so.

Okay let’s be all negative about it. We don’t know nothing about what they have plans. This could be true also false, but I hope it’s true, I love breaking dawn. Spliting it into two movies is a let down and will be stupid If they do. Just my opinion.

I really hope that they do film “Breaking Dawn”! I would that it would not be split into 2 films. But the story doesn’t end with “Eclipse” and it would be such a let down if the film was done soon!

I love “Breaking Dawn”. It will make a great film.

Excuse me! I meant to write that it would be a let down, if wasn’t done soon!

frankly, it’s like im going to get bored already. the 4th saga isnt that exciting unless the scriptwriter (again) would go astray from the book. im a huge fan, but splitting BD into 2 would be pathetic. jmho

I don’t know what to say about this. I kinda agree with what most people are saying on here. I’ll be happy if they make BD into a movie (not alone 2 movies) but there are also rumors about Kristen and Robert other film obligations. Yes, no one knows if it is true what movies they will be in but I’m sure that they are both busy with other scripts. I just don’t know.

In opinion about the movie being split in two….*sigh* I don’t think there is enough in the book to split it in two. It’s not like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (yes I’m a Harry fan too). I don’t think there is enough information to really split it. *shrug* Of course that’s just my opinion.

well, sorry my english but, if i understood, breaking dawn will be a film, wont’ it?

by Kim C in October 21 - 8:21 am

Breaking Dawn is sure to be a film. Summit wont announce anything until after NM releases like they did with NM after TW was released. They wait to see how much money it makes, let the film have it’s glory then they make the announcement. I bet that’s what happens.

by burcu in October 21 - 10:49 pm

thank you so much Kim..

Like Jasper would say”RELAX”! If they make a 2 part Breaking Dawn that just means one more Twilight movie to love!

by Tami in February 17 - 6:38 pm

It would make perfect since to make 2 movies. I’d rather 2 movies and have not much cut from the book, verses 1 movie & to much stuff cut.

BUT…. I really would love it if they came back to Portland!!!!! St.Helens is where they’d probably go, which is where most of twilight was filmed & only hour away from me.
