Thoughts on the location? What parts of the movie do you think will be filmed in Louisiana? source @twilight Related posts:

Probably the scenes in Isle Esme, maybe some jungle scenes too? I guess it would be expensive, complicated and unnecessary for them to go all the way to Brazil to film them. |

Most of the book which begins in August can be filmed in Louisiana. The end of the book when the Volturi come when the snow sticks to the ground will probably be filmed in Canada. I bet they film in Louisiana a lot longer than they will in Canada. |

Hmmmm. good question and one that I can not answer right now. But I like Libella’s idea of the Isle Esme stuff being shot in Baton Rouge, it’s steamy AND sultry there. Perfect for the honeymoon! |

I live in Baton Rouge, and I dont know where they are going to film the isle Esme, our gulf is full of oil and the beaches are nasty, the only water in BR is the Mississippi River, and its dirty and gross. I think since there is a HUGE studio being built here there might be alot of inside shots, or outside at one of the plantations for the wedding… As for the jungles, we have alot of wooded areas, True Blood exteriors are filmed down the street in Walker, La. I’ll keep ya’ll updates, especially since Mel is coming to visit during this time LOL |

It is definately not for the honeymoon. Even if we had decent beaches, which we don,t because the Mississippi river enters the Gulf of Mexico, they are covered with oil as are the pelicans. What we do have is great tax breaks. I imagine they will mostly be filming indoor in La. & the outdoor scenes in Vancouver. I would think that the outdoor honeymoon would be on location on some Island. We are close to the carribean. Anyway I live in Baton Rouge. Thrilled! Filming starts in October/ November for 4 months! It can be quite warm then. When you think about it, there is much that take place indoors in BD. There is no way to make the Red Stick, nickname for Baton Rouge, look like Isle Esme or the Pacific NW! We have great music & food here! New Orleans is an hour from BR and cajun country less than that. We need the financial support, the state hadn’t recovered from Katrina when we were hit by the oil spill. Our shrimpers and fisherman have lost their way of life for the forseeable future. It is tragic! But our motto in South Louisiana is Laissez les bon temps roule( let the good times roll)! Y’all come visit! We need the tourist industry. You can even volunteer to help the Pelicans while you are here! We are a very laid back fun loving people. BTW True Blood was filmed here also. The Mississippi River is not gross; it is a beautiful powerful river. It is justnot the Caribbean. |

Hey how about you not bring up old things that have already happened!! And you bite your tongue, at least I can say I saw Rob’s movies, Hayden was so different, I didnt care about his movies, just that he was hot. LOL. And you are coming for whatever reason, but lets just say Jackson is the reason LOL *Abie, have you been to the levee lately? the banks of the river are trashed. I live here too, refer to the post above yours. Glad to have another La neighbor around on CBA! |

You can’t just film in Baton Rouge because it’s August. The landscape of the Northwest and Louisiana are completely different. It probably is for the tax breaks and will be the indoor scenes. There is no possible way you can pass off Louisiana for Western Washington I don’t care what season it is. |
