Just because my second obsession to Twilight is clothes I thought it would be fun to take a closer look at what the cast was wearing last night.

rob4 224x300 Editorial: Rob at the MTV Movie Awards

Well ladies and gents, tonight was the night that so many of us had been waiting for. It was the annual MTV Movie Awards, which in the past years has become a way for Twihards to get a peek at exclusive clips, the cast, and watch as our faves take home tons of awards each year. This year was no different, except for there were plenty of hilarious moments that created hysteria just like the show is known to do. Out of Rob, Kristen, and Taylor, the main focus of tonight’s show was definitely Robert Pattinson because he not only took home awards, but presented one to Reese Witherspoon. His ad lib speech had tons of people laughing, but also some up in arms about his use of the f-bomb during the speech. Now I am not a huge fan of the word, but I was taken back more by the reaction it got from some of the fandom. Apparently, it was a love or hate situation, which is usually the case when it comes to humor. I found Rob’s speech pretty funny with just a touch of awkwardness. In other words, I thought it was a Rob type of speech. However, some seem to find the words offensive or inappropriate, which baffles me and I will explain why.

First of all, this is the MTV Movie Awards, not the Academy Awards or a prestigious event of that nature. Presenters and hosts curse on a regular basis, they roast celebs, show over the top footage, and pull all types of antics…..this is the show where Eminem got a butt shoved in his face and Sandra Bullock made out with ScarJo during her acceptance speech. Maybe that is why I am confused by the gasping over Rob using a word that was used throughout the night and one that Peter Facinelli said constantly a few years back during the Best Movie acceptance speech. Another reason I did not find it inappropriate was because he was teasing Reese and she teased him right back. Ever since they started promoting Water for Elephants, the costars have been going back and forth about their awkward Vanity Fair days and even been asked by reporters what it was like to go from being mother and son to lovers. Reese even got onstage and told a joke to Rob by dropping some profanity of her own, which for me made it even funnier. The two of them have such a witty banter in interviews and she teases him just as much so I thought it was fitting that he roasted her. I know some people have this image of Rob in their mind and I suppose it ruined their fantasy by him actually playing along with the outrageous theme of the show, but it just made me love him even more. He told some jokes, he was awkward, he got some laughs, laughed at himself, and managed to do it all with a smile. He even brought Taylor into the mix by kissing him instead of Kristen! If anything, it made me think that Rob was actually having fun and rolling with the punches on a show that is full of them. I thought it was a great indicator of his sense of humor and it really made me wish he would do SNL even more now. Maybe I am alone in my view, but I actually thought Rob stole the show. It was the MTV Movie Awards which is always full of cursing, over the top antics, same sex kisses, outrageous moments, and plenty of laughs. I knew exactly the type of award show it was even before I tuned in tonight and it always has been. I took it for the laid back environment that it was and it seemed like Rob did the same, so what do you ladies think? Were you offended by Rob’s speech? Did you think it was funny or were you indifferent about the whole thing? Let us know in the comment section! Also, what were your thoughts about the Breaking Dawn trailer and the show as a whole?

Kristen Stewart on winning at shows like TCA and MTV Movie Awards

robkrismtv Kristen Stewart on winning at shows like TCA and MTV Movie Awards

I am a fan of Kristen Stewart because at the end of the day when the fame is gone, when the promoting, Summit marketing, and all the Team crap is over, I think she is one of those people who will be able to say she kept it real at all times. This is from an interview she did and I think it goes hand in hand with what we have been talking about lately on here. Award shows that are ultimately producers are about popularity and ratings, not talent. Sorry but that’s just the plain truth. I am all for seeing my favorite stars win at award shows but when it comes down to it, I want them to win for being the most talented so while some fans might not like the Oscars, Golden Globes, etc, they do measure based on acting chops. I want to see Rob especially at those shows. Don’t get me wrong though…..I will still tune in to see my yummy RPattz, Kellan, Peter, and Jackson at other award shows and do my part to show support. They just aren’t as important as some people make them out to be….

Back to the MTV awards, do you have the feeling of being a Mega stars when you go to stuff like that?

The truth is I think it is really unfair. We won those prizes because we have millions of fans who voted for those awards. But the other projects are just as worthy. They should win as well. I sincerely hope that other actors don’t hate us. I was embarassed, I was under the impression that Rob and I were like the queen and the king of prom, though I never went to high school. I never went to a prom, so I asked Rob if this is how it looks like. And he said we were right in.

A Funny Blog About The MTVMA Eclipse Clip

The blog is from the site Robsten Love, but you don’t have to be a Robsten fan to appreciate this post. For all of the fans who were not happy with how Edward and Bella were portrayed in the Eclipse clip shown at the MTV Movie Awards then here is a post for you. The clip in question is the one where Jacob shows up at the school on his bike and a pleading Edward has to stand by while Bella leaves with Jacob. As Twihards, we know that never at any point happened in the book and it was a blend of several scenes meshed together completely changing the meaning and importance of the scene in general, but what do you think of this post? Is the blogger posting your thoughts? Did you like the scene or think it was alright for what it was? Are Edward and Bella’s characters being changed in the movie to make the love triangle heightened to the point of completely fabricating the severity of it? Let us know your thoughts and be sure to check out the blog by clicking on the picture or source link.

Eclipse Movie Exceedes Peter Facinelli’s Expectations
Jun 8

Categories: MTV MOVIE AWARDS, Peter Facinelli, eclipse movie

MTV’s Hollywood Crush interviewed poor Peter Facinelli after the awards show:

“It’s my favorite book of the series, and it was a high watermark for me, going in to see that movie,” he shared. “It exceeded all my expectations.”

He said that his favorite part was, unsurprisingly, the big battle scene at the end, because it was nice to see the “Cullen tribe family” (we think any one of those would have worked, but he used all three) get in on the action and let their vampire nature show.

But all that talking about the upcoming film didn’t distract him from the popular theme of all the fan-voted MTV Movie Awards: appreciation for the viewers that support them.

“It’s all the fans. I’m humbly overwhelmed by their support and their love for these movies,” Peter said.

Still, if there’s one thing that he’s happy about, it’s that “The Twilight Saga” is a fairly swear-free franchise. We’re pretty sure he threw enough curses into his Best Movie acceptance speech to make the entire series rated R.

“I’ve cursed enough for a whole lifetime, and I’m going to rinse my mouth with a bar of soap now,” Peter admitted before walking away from the interview.
