It is the wedding of the century, and you are invited. And with Volvo, now you can enter for a chance to win two different prizes to celebrate Edward and Bella’s special day. Starting November 1st, make your way to the wedding and you could win a trip for two to Rio de Janeiro, just like Edward and Bella. Plus, you could take home the actual 325hp Volvo S60 T6 R-Design from “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1.” |

I cannot believe Breaking Dawn Part 1 promoting is finally underway! The Los Angeles Convention is in less than a month, the soundtrack is already being hyped up, the interviews are rolling in……this is going to be amazing! However, as usual in this fandom, some fans are focusing on the negative. The complaint is that Breaking Dawn Part 2 comes out “too late” and fans will have to wait “too long” in order to actually see the last film. There is even a petition out to try to change the date to a summer release like they did with Eclipse. I have a different outlook on the situation though, so here is a list of reasons why Breaking Dawn Part 2 coming out in November 2012 is a good thing, I think. 1. The longer the wait, the more time we have to experience the saga in film form. The quicker the films come out, the quicker it will all be over. Let’s enjoy the promos and buildup of Part 1 and then have a year to prepare ourselves for the end of the franchise. It is going to suck when it happens, so I am all for prolonging it. 2. Condon needs the time. Poor Bill had to direct two films back to back and while the filming of both is essentially over, his job is far from it. He has been finalizing Part 1, the score, and the soundtrack in the past months, plus doing promotional work. He has to decide what will go on the Breaking Dawn Part 1 DVD, which will release before Part 2 comes out, and he still has to focus on the final film of the franchise. Everything he had to do for Part 1 must be done for Part 2 as well, so let’s give Condon some time to make it epic. That is a reason why Chris Weitz did not direct Eclipse even though the cast, crew, and studio loved him. There was no way he would have time to do both with such a quick turnaround. Poor Bill has his work cut out for him. 3. November is a tradition. Eclipse is the only film that broke that mold and some of us, including me, were not happy with the summer release. Twilight films are in a category of their own and they should be treated like it. Summer releases are for overhyped blockbuster films, like superhero films, but Twilight is different. November holds a dear place in my heart because I love seeing the films during that time, so let’s embrace that. 4. This last year is going to go by extremely fast. This will be it. We have 398 days until the final film of the franchise comes out and I think time is going to blur by, so let’s try to enjoy it and live in the now instead of having all this talk about making demands to move the last film closer to its end. I will admit when they first announced it would be two parts, I was annoyed because I felt that Summit was just prolonging the end to their cash cow….and they are…..but now I see the upside for us as fans. We have been given more time to drool over our favorite cast, love the interviews, indulge in fan events, wait impatiently for released material, and be the epic fandom that we are. Let’s sit back, try to relax, and enjoy the experience. It will be over soon enough. So what do you think? Do you think Breaking Dawn Part 2 should be released in summer 2012 or November 2012? What are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comment section. |

With all the speculation and rumors going around, Summit has finally made it official and confirmed the premiere date and location for the LA Premiere on the Twilight Twitter: “The Breaking Dawn Part 1 World Premiere will be at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on 11/14! Will you be there?” This is great news for those of us who would like to attend and want to start planning, but there is also some more information that is quite interesting. Creation Entertainment has also made an announcement on their site about a Twilight Convention that could be happening before the premiere in LA. Los Angeles, CA I briefly spoke to one of the reps for Creation to clarify and he explained to me that just like with Eclipse, there is supposed to be a Twilight Convention in LA to help promote the film. The weekend being looked at right now is November 4th and more details should come out some time this week. At first I was positive that I would be attending the premiere, but with the convention being held earlier, it might be nice to go to that instead. I would love to go to both, but I do not think that would be possible, so it seems I will just have to wait and see which seems more promising. Camping out for days on the streets of LA for the premiere seems like a once in a lifetime experience, but if the convention is anything like the Eclipse one, then it would be fun to attend that. What about you ladies? Is anyone planning to attend the premiere or the convention when it is announced? |

We have seen most of these, but Summit did release new stills from Part 1, so I thought it would be nice to post them.

After reading comments, feedback, and criticism from fans, I have decided to compile a list of things we have learned today just from the promo poster Summit has released. Keep in mind this is just for fun and a sense of humor and understanding of sarcasm will be needed 1. To Summit, all fans sound like the teacher from Charlie Brown: Wua, wua, wua. That is all they seem to hear when fans voice their desires and concerns for these films. This has been a theme throughout the films, mainly with the handling of Eclipse. This poster is evidence that Summit simply does not care. You would think after the backlash from how scenes were altered in Eclipse and how much focus has been on anything but Edward and Bella, they would listen, but apparently they hear “Wua Jacob wua wua wua shirtless. Wua wua not Edward and Bella. Wua Wua alter scenes from books.” 2. Condon and Summit are not one in the same: Like a lot of fans, I was losing faith in Condon since this poster was so generic, but I am relieved that it is just a promo poster that Summit, not Condon, put out. He is not responsible for the poster. This is all Summit’s handy work and I think that is obvious if you really look at it. 3. Continuity…..what is that?: Summit having some sort of continuity in these films is like me seeing Kellan Lutz, asking him to marry me, and him accepting. It is not impossible, but not likely at all. The wigs, the hair in general, the makeup, and even the clothes change in style each and every film. Can we at least expect some continuity between Part 1 and Part 2 since it was all shot at the same time? Hopefully, but I would not be shocked if something was off. |

Alright so it is that time again. Here we have the new Breaking Dawn Poster for Part 1 and surprise, surprise, something irks me about it. Yes, I can admit that Jacob Black has a big role in the books…..and Taylor Lautner will probably have an even bigger role in the films…..but seriously, does he need to be on the same level as Edward and Bella? They are getting married…..I cannot wait for the wedding and honeymoon scenes. They are finally going to be happy and yet again, this poster looks like the love triangle is alive and well. And since when is TL as tall as Rob? Why is he almost blocking the Cullens and was it really necessary to have him standing beside them like that? These are some of the first thoughts that ran through my head when I saw the poster. Was I surprised that Summit had Taycob in the poster? Not at all. It would be counterproductive after all the time, money, and marketing they put into Taylor to have him not on it and Jacob was in the book……even though now I am concerned about how much he will be in the first film since it should focus more on Bella and Edward. I get that he needs to be in the poster, but for once it would have been nice to let Edward and Bella stand alone together in the forefront and have him in the background with the others. What do you think? Is this poster perfect? Is my Team Edward love and annoyance with the Summit Taycob love fest clouding my judgement? What changes would you have made, if any? Sound off in the comment section. UPDATE from Chrissy: This is taken straight from the RobsessedPattinson website and it gives more answers about the poster (which most people seem to dislike): I was sure fans asked Jack Morrissey about this poster and after checking his twitter timeline, I was right. He shared the following:
