While there was no Twilight movie panel this year at Comic Con, finding Twilight inspired merchandise was not a problem. Summit also had Dakota Fanning’s costume displayed at their booth. It was an amazing event and I can’t wait for next year! Twilight Dolls for $140 each A wall of Twilight Posters Jane and Alec’s costumes. |

Every year at the San Diego Comics Convention, you always hear the same gripe: “Isn’t this supposed to be about comic books?” From this perspective, Hollywood has turned what used to be a fanboy Mecca into a marketing platform for decidedly non-comic properties. (This isn’t exactly fair: as EW’s Lynette Rice noted a few weeks ago, an earlier Comic-Con featured a screening of Orson Welles’ Othello.) Angry die-hard comics fans have something to be happy about today, though: Summit Entertainment has just released their Comic-Con schedule, and in a surprising move, the Twilight franchise will not be making an appearance on the panels. Which means: no more tweeny-boppers wandering around in glittery-white makeup wearing T-shirts that say “Team Jasper” or “Team Riley” or whatever. What’s a hater to do? Not to worry, PopWatchers, at Comic-Con there’s always something to complain about. We’ve analyzed the field and come up with the five things that will be annoying you at this year’s Comic-Con; take a poll after the jump. Poll here

Peter Facinelli was the star of the day at the Twi Tour Convention in Phoenix today. Peter started the karaoke session off with a quick rendition of “We are the World”, and then danced with the crowd to Candace Charee singing her song “Comin’ to Getcha”. |
