Here is a little bit about our fun fulled first day at TwiCon:

One of the first exciting things that happened was we were interviewed by Reelz Channel news. They were so cool & are bringing us extensive TwiCon coverage.

Then on our way to registration we ran into the ladies from Vamp Radio & Land of Dreamers who were with Marcus Foster & Sam Bradley!:

Reelz Channel announced their Twi Con Correspondent and the winner is….Jessica Gueco from San Francisco, CA. Jessica is also a Twilight blogger who runs the What The Forks blog. Congratz Jessica!

Ashley Greene has pulled out of her TwiCon appearance in Dallas. Ashley was offered an incredible photo opportunity for a national fitness magazine during Twicon. Replacing Ashley at TwiCon will be the hot New Moon cast member, ALEX MERAZ! Please read below to find out what this means for you if you have tickets to TwiCon:

1. Those who have purchased items for Ashley have first dibs on the same items for Alex. If you do NOT want Alex, you may choose from the remainder of photos/autographs that are left for the other attending cast. Please note: ALL TRANSACTIONS WILL BE HANDLED ON SITE. Because we have offered a replacement for Ashley, be it with Alex or another cast member, refunds will not be given on any items originally purchased for Ashley; they will simply be transferred to someone else.
2. For those who want to purchase opportunities (photograph or autograph) with Alex, they will be made available on a first come, first served basis on site. Directions and time of sale will be announced at the welcoming ceremony on Thursday night. Another note: PLEASE DO NOT CALL TWICON OFFICES OR SEND EMAILS ASKING ABOUT THE TIME, DATE OR LOCATION OF THE SALE. All information will be provided on site. All you need to know is that the price for autographs and photographs is the same as the other cast members ($16 per autograph, $40 per photo). Those who got a free autograph for Ashley will naturally pay nothing to switch it to Alex or anyone else. We will also make available for sale any leftover autographs or photographs of the cast. The cast members who were sold out during sign ups are naturally, still sold out.
3. Alex’s schedule will simply replace Ashley’s. There are a few very minor changes, which will be in the printed program you will receive upon check in at TwiCon registration. The most noticeable perk? Alex is DOUBLING his photos! That means he has 120 available for purchase, so be ready for our announcements on the sale information so you know where to go to purchase one!
4. Alex has graciously offered to us a fantastic exclusive event with him. On Saturday morning from 9:00am-10:30am, there will be a plated breakfast Q&A 4. session with Alex himself. This event will ONLY hold 100 people and will cost $60 per person, including the seated meal. All tickets will be sold on site, first come, first served along with the other sales opportunities. Again, please don’t call TwiCon or email regarding details. We will let you know on site on Thursday night at the welcoming ceremony.

While we are disappointed to see Ashley go, we are thrilled to be the first full convention in the country to host Alex Meraz. TwiCon is the first full convention to host ANY new up and coming actors from New Moon! Please make him feel welcome in the wonderful Twilight community! We hope that you are pleased with this bittersweet development; our goal is to make your experience as memorable as possible. As we near the opening night for TwiCon, we want to take the time to say thank you for the wonderful support we have received these past months from our fans, the media and the cast of Twilight. MTV is looking for Class of ‘09 graduating Seniors to send in a video shout out as
to what makes the class of ‘09 so special. The winner and a guest will be flown
to Dallas for TwiCon!

…We want graduating seniors to shout out to the Class of ‘09 with a video message on Your.MTV.com. Tell us about your own hopes and dreams, what you think the makes the class of ‘09 rock, just say “best of luck!” … any or all of above. Play it straight, spit some rhymes, act it out as a “Twilight” character — do it your way. The video we decide is the most fun, interesting and original is the winner!

That winner will be announced on Sunday, June 28, in Forks, Washington, by MTV News’ own Larry Carroll, who is well-known to “Twilight” fans everywhere. Why him, why then, and why there? Well, get this: Larry will be giving the valedictory address at a special “Twilight”-themed graduation happening at the real Forks H.S. (a very special place to all Twi-hards).

For maximum Class of ‘09 drama, he’ll announce our winner during his valedictorian speech to the entire town! People will cheer, “Twilight” tribute bands will play songs, and we’ll capture it all — and that’s not even the grand prize!

The winner of our “Class of ‘09 Shout-Out Search” will be flown (with a guest) to Dallas at the end of July for Twi-Con, one of the most awesome Twilight conventions of the year, and will get to see the cast! And, of course, the winning video will also appear on MTVNews.com, and may even air on MTV!
