Kellan Lutz Named New Model For Dylan George Denim
Feb 15

Categories: Kellan Lutz

I am excited to see him doing more! Not that I don’t love him in just his undies, but I think it shows he can do more.

WWD announces that Twilight star (no, not Robert Pattinson, the other one) Kellan Lutz is the new spokesman for “Los Angeles-based premium denim label Dylan George.” Lutz will front the new men’s line launching in the autumn. That’s a funny name for a jeans brand, you may well say. It turns out the label is named after a street intersection in Venice, California – so now you know.

Now you can’t read the original article unless you have a subscription but KellanLutzOline.com had these photos that were sent to them. He looks great!

Director Dermot Mulroney’s “Love, Wedding, Marriage” has now been picked up by IFC Films. The film (shot last spring) stars Kellan Lutz, Mandy Moore, Jane Seymour and James Brolin. Charlie (Lutz) is recently married to a marriage counselor (Moore), who finds herself questioning everything she believes when her happily married parents (Seymour and Brolin) suddenly announce their pending divorce.

The film is Mulroney’s directoral debut, although he is best known for his roles in “The Wedding Crashers” and “Zodiac”.

As of tomorrow, it’s officially National Storytelling Week! So if you love books already prepare to love them a little bit more, and if you don’t, well, give it a go!

We’d never have had a topless Taylor Lautner on our screens (probably) and a vampy Robert Pattinson to drool over were it not for Stephenie Meyer’s books remember. Nor would we lurrrve Daniel Radcliffe and the Harry Potter cast so much, so thanks JK Rowling!

To help celebrate this national week of storytelling, folk at FilmClub.org (the after school club) got close and personal with Twi-hunk Kellan Lutz and Harry Potter star Tom Felton, to talk book-to-film adaptation

“The [Twilight] book has a huge part to play in why the films are so popular,” said Kellan. “It’s a great story about an endless love, which everybody falls in love with, but which is taken to the extreme. It really is both a dynamic book and story….it’s really unique!”

“There are so many fantastic book adaptations out there,” gushed Tom. “The ‘Twilight’ books are a great example, and I think personally JK [Rowling] has really opened up such a great world for the youth to get really into books, really into franchises of books, and for them to be shown in a proper light with film.”

“It’s fantastic they can do that…. I’m reading a fantastic book at the moment called ‘The Boy Who Dared’, by Susan Campbell Bartoletti. It’s amazing, and I think it would make such a fantastic film.”

Fancy getting involved too? Check out www.sfs.org.uk/nsw and www.filmclub.org for more info!

Do you love books? What’s your fave book-to-film adaptation? Twilight? Harry Potter? Narnia?

Relativity to release ‘Immortals’ on Nov. 11 Starting Kellan Lutz
Jan 13

We now get TWO films staring Kellan Lutz this November. I am excited how about you? Here is some info on the film.

Relativity Media is building up its slate of films as they move forward as their own distributor, with Immortals becoming the latest film to be set for release under their banner. Written by Charles Parlapanides and Vlas Parlapanides and directed by Tarsem Singh (The Cell), Immortals is a 3D action epic starring Henry Cavill , Kellan Lutz, Stephen Dorff, Luke Evans, John Hurt, Isabel Lucas, Frieda Pinto, and Mickey Rourke.

The story follows “the ruthless King Hyperion (Rourke) as he leads his bloodthirsty army on a murderous rampage across Greece to find a deadly weapon that will destroy humanity. A mortal chosen by Zeus named Theseus (Cavill) must lead the fight against Hyperion and his evil army with the fate of mankind and the Gods at stake.”

Immortals (previously known as War of Gods) will hit theaters on November 11, 2011.

I am even more excited having seen the cast. I think you may all remember Henry as who Stephenie Meyers originally “cast” as Edward on her site before the films were made.  Looks like November is going to be a great month!

‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ stars stop by a children’s hospital

Yesterday, four castmembers from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 spent the day visiting the kids of Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Those four were Peter Facinelli (”Carlisle Cullen”), Elizabeth Reaser (”Esme Cullen”), Kellan Lutz (”Emmett Cullen”), and Nikki Reed (”Rosalie Hale”). In addition to visiting and spending time with the kids, they also brought along a few holiday gifts for the young ones – including New Moon swag in one case – with them as well!

Photos of these four visiting the kids and nurses of the hospital can be found at OLOL’s facebook page.

Looks like it was a great way to spend a day away from filming!

The Twilight cast’s involvement with charity projects is steadily increasing across the board, but especially with some of these. Peter Facinelli’s commitment to helping children is well documented by now; as is Kellan Lutz’s efforts with humanitarianism. And Nikki Reed, of course, has done her part as well by stepping up as the face for Staples’ $800,000 school supply drive!

‘Twilight’ star Kellan Lutz does SWAT training during ‘Breaking Dawn’ off-time

f34734af03f29c0216c1122c30d582a7 Twilight star Kellan Lutz does SWAT training during Breaking Dawn off time

Here’s a strange one. Kellan Lutz (”Emmett Cullen” in the Twilight Saga films) has apparently done S.W.A.T. training while in Baton Rouge, Louisiana filming for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Last night, he tweeted this photo, saying “Thank you Sgt. Anderson and everyone at EBRSO S.W.A.T. for all the training, shooting, and fun you let me experience.” (EBRSO stands for East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, by the way.)

Clearly, this was one of those “down time activities” Lutz had in mind because while there may be fight sequences in Breaking Dawn, it’s hard to see how S.W.A.T. training would play any part in preparing for them . . . unless stealth and agility aspects of training might come in handy, that is.

Lutz has been in Baton Rouge for a few days at least. He was there to celebrate the Eclipse DVD release on December 4th, but before that, he was in Los Angeles promoting the release of Meskada. Lutz has expressed his excitement over filming the arm-wrestling scene in Breaking Dawn.
