Thanks to the many comments today about the cast and the films, I have decided to pose a question here on CBA. As we all unfortunately know, the films will be over soon. We still have Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2, but the filming has already wrapped and I am sure the majority of the cast is thinking about what to do after the buzz calms down. I have two questions for you: Which of the big three (Rob, Kristen, and Taylor) do you think will be most successful after the films are over? Which castmate that was part of the original cast (Kellan, Nikki, Ashley, Jackson, Peter, and Elizabeth) do you think will surprise people with how well they have done? When I mean the cast, I am talking about the main cast and here are some quick bios below.
Robert Pattinson aka RPattz Films: 1o films not including the Twilight films. Some Notable Films outside of Twilight: Harry Potter, Remember Me, and Water for Elephants Future projects: Bel Ami, Cosmopolis, rumored for Unbound Captives
Kristen Stewart aka KStew Films: 23 films not including the Twilight films Some Notable Films outside of Twilight: Panic Room, Adventureland, The Runaways Future Films: Snow White and the Huntsman
Taylor Lautner aka Tay Tay or TL Films: 4 outside of the Twilight Films Some Notable Films outside of Twilight: Valentines Day, Cheaper By the Dozen, and Sharkboy and Lavagirl Future Films: Abduction coming out in September As for the rest of the cast, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, and Peter Facinelli, be sure to let us know your thoughts on them as well. You can click on their names for quick bios and a filmography. Who do you think will do the most after the films are over? Remember that does not just have to mean acting. It can mean directing, performing, producing, etc…..it is the fair thing to do to include Jackson as a musician, Nikki as a writer/director, and others who might branch out. Let us know in the comment section! Sound off!

Here are more of the pictures that will be included in the fall issue of Entertainment Weekly. Please go to the SOURCE to see them bigger and to read the entire transcript of the interview. I’ll post some quotes, but it’s worth reading the entire thing, I know it’ll start a discussion. Plus, you’ll see the pictures bigger and better. There are MORE pictures in a separate article HERE!!!

“The Miracle of Life,” that now-retro video show to confused and sometimes shocked middle school students in sex ed classes across the country, has largely been the only reference point for the machinations child birth for tween audiences, montages on MTV’s “Teen Mom” not withstanding. That’s about to change — and if they thought their 80s-made educational film was unsettling, tweens better brace themselves for some vampire birth. The birthing scene in “Breaking Dawn,” the final book in Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight Saga,” features Bella finally producing her Edward Cullen-fathered vampire baby, Renesmee. It’s a graphic scene in the book, but words and images are far different beasts, which makes one wonder just how faithful the Bill Condon-directed film will be to the book in that regard. According to Robert Pattinson, it’ll be just as potent. “The birth scene is so different from everything else in the movie. For a fantasy series it goes quite far. It’s hardcore, it’s graphic. There’s no other way to do it. It was fun,” he told the audience at Comic Con on Thursday (via HitFix.com). “You never really get to play Edward in a way that he’s literally so aware of his own helplessness,” he added (via Moviefone). “Either he’s completely in control or pretends he is, but here there’s no on else around, and there’s nothing he can do and he’s just desperate. Normally when that happens, Bella comes in and saves the day. But Bella isn’t there … he’s totally annihilated by the situation” Kirsten Stewart, the laboring mother-to-be in question, went into more detail. “She’s literally choking on blood she’s been drinking, literally out of her mind. It was always in my head that she’s been able to fight harder than anyone because of that little bit in her, literally,” she laughed (via Movieline). “And at that part I got to play with having venom run through your veins and start to feel the hell that that is, and that’s after a moment of sheer exuberance of looking at your baby for the first time.” That should please Meyer, who repeatedly emphasized her desire for the movie to match the book’s intensity. “I’d love to have the birth scene be every bit as awful — I know it freaked people out, but for those of us who have been through childbirth a couple times, it is a scary, terrifying experience,” she told MTV News last year. “This is just taking that to an exponential power, and I love going there.” Stewart said that she had a hard time with the actual child, once it was in the flesh and walking. “I couldn’t pick up the kid sometimes. We had Mackenzie Foy, who is an amazing little kid. Like the coolest kid ever,” she said (via PopSugar). “Smarter than me in a lot of ways. Then we had these other girls to play the younger version of Mackenzie. They’re all great, awesome kids, but I’m awkward, I can’t handle that. I look ridiculous picking them up, they were bigger than me in some cases!” |

It is time for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards and it is no surprise that Eclipse and the cast have been nominated for several awards. What I found great is that Robert Pattinson is also nominated for non-Twilight related awards for Water for Elephants. If you are between the ages of 13-19 years old, then be sure to vote! The show will air live Sunday, August 7th, at 8/7 central on FOX. Well ladies and gents, tonight was the night that so many of us had been waiting for. It was the annual MTV Movie Awards, which in the past years has become a way for Twihards to get a peek at exclusive clips, the cast, and watch as our faves take home tons of awards each year. This year was no different, except for there were plenty of hilarious moments that created hysteria just like the show is known to do. Out of Rob, Kristen, and Taylor, the main focus of tonight’s show was definitely Robert Pattinson because he not only took home awards, but presented one to Reese Witherspoon. His ad lib speech had tons of people laughing, but also some up in arms about his use of the f-bomb during the speech. Now I am not a huge fan of the word, but I was taken back more by the reaction it got from some of the fandom. Apparently, it was a love or hate situation, which is usually the case when it comes to humor. I found Rob’s speech pretty funny with just a touch of awkwardness. In other words, I thought it was a Rob type of speech. However, some seem to find the words offensive or inappropriate, which baffles me and I will explain why. First of all, this is the MTV Movie Awards, not the Academy Awards or a prestigious event of that nature. Presenters and hosts curse on a regular basis, they roast celebs, show over the top footage, and pull all types of antics…..this is the show where Eminem got a butt shoved in his face and Sandra Bullock made out with ScarJo during her acceptance speech. Maybe that is why I am confused by the gasping over Rob using a word that was used throughout the night and one that Peter Facinelli said constantly a few years back during the Best Movie acceptance speech. Another reason I did not find it inappropriate was because he was teasing Reese and she teased him right back. Ever since they started promoting Water for Elephants, the costars have been going back and forth about their awkward Vanity Fair days and even been asked by reporters what it was like to go from being mother and son to lovers. Reese even got onstage and told a joke to Rob by dropping some profanity of her own, which for me made it even funnier. The two of them have such a witty banter in interviews and she teases him just as much so I thought it was fitting that he roasted her. I know some people have this image of Rob in their mind and I suppose it ruined their fantasy by him actually playing along with the outrageous theme of the show, but it just made me love him even more. He told some jokes, he was awkward, he got some laughs, laughed at himself, and managed to do it all with a smile. He even brought Taylor into the mix by kissing him instead of Kristen! If anything, it made me think that Rob was actually having fun and rolling with the punches on a show that is full of them. I thought it was a great indicator of his sense of humor and it really made me wish he would do SNL even more now. Maybe I am alone in my view, but I actually thought Rob stole the show. It was the MTV Movie Awards which is always full of cursing, over the top antics, same sex kisses, outrageous moments, and plenty of laughs. I knew exactly the type of award show it was even before I tuned in tonight and it always has been. I took it for the laid back environment that it was and it seemed like Rob did the same, so what do you ladies think? Were you offended by Rob’s speech? Did you think it was funny or were you indifferent about the whole thing? Let us know in the comment section! Also, what were your thoughts about the Breaking Dawn trailer and the show as a whole? *This is an editorial and the views expressed are mine, not necessarily the views of other CBA members. |
