Having “Twilight Saga” withdrawal waiting for the release of the next movie? Download the free Find It: Twilight Saga Android app to play the classic “find the differences in the two photos” with photos of the three main characters in “The Twilight Saga”  – Bella, Edward and Jacob. Find the four differences in the seemingly matching photos before time runs out. You get three hints, but use them wisely because they are for the entire time you play, not just per photo.

I humorous voice reminds you to “Hurry up!” if you are taking too long. You can play with the sound on or off via an easy touch selection on the main menu. I made it to the third matching photo before I flunked out. I found it challenging and a fun way to pass a few idle minutes while waiting for supper to cook or the bus to arrive.

The goal is to earn the highest score over time, so challenge others in a pass and play challenge to see who has the better “Twilight” eye. If you really enjoy the game more than the photos, use the in-app link to discover more Find It apps in the Android marketplace.

If only I had this phone!

Review of The Twilight Saga – Memory Quest App

153558 tween original Review of The Twilight Saga Memory Quest App

If you’ve seen a match-the-tiles game, you know all there is to know about Game House’s The Twilight Saga – Memory Quest. In fact, the connection between the game and the titular movie series is tenuous at best—the only tie-ins are several pictures of the movie’s characters that appear in the background of its various levels.

No matter how good you are at this game, Bella never looks like she’s interested.

The goal of the Memory Quest is to flip a series of tiles and match two or more of the same kind. Each level comes with a different goal and unique set of difficulties: in some cases, you’re racing against the clock, while in others you have to finish within a specific set of moves. In one kind of level, the board flips around by 180º, which is confusing and challenging the first time, only to become just an annoyance once the novelty wears off—something that, unfortunately, happens all too quickly.

With the exception of some minor variations, Memory Quest follows this pattern through and through. Fans of the series will appreciate the opportunity to admire their favorite characters—for everyone else, the App Store offers plenty of alternatives that cost less and provide more gameplay variety.

The Twilight Saga: Memory Quest requires an iPhone of iPod touch with iOS 3.0 or higher

Edward “Barbie” Cullen

So the folks over at Vogue blog got an Edward Cullen Barbie Doll and were left lacking. I would have to agreed that it is kind of hard to get ‘Greek God’ right without making the doll out of marble. Alright, so I am teasing a wee bit.  Here is what they thought and let us know what you think of the doll! Do you think it is spot on?

Spitting Image

You would think our favourite Twilight vampire (Edward Cullen) would make the perfect Barbie doll. With his dishevelled hair, golden brown eyes and handsome face, he is everything Barbie looks for in her Ken. However, when the pint-sized Edward Cullen landed on our desk this morning, covered head-to-toe in glitter and wearing blue eyeliner, we were disappointed how little he resembled our much loved Vampire crush.

Canada Customs drives a stake through ‘Twilight’ energy drinks

c6c9 blood caffeinated energy potion Canada Customs drives a stake through ‘Twilight’ energy drinks

Toronto is throwing the After Dark Film Festival right now, is home base for ubergeek Scott Pilgrim and is planning its eighth Zombie Walk, but we’re not ready for either the Blood Potion or Zombie energy shots.

The two Twilight-inspired potions, in resealable transfusion bags, are the brainchildren of two tech industry fugitives who created Harcos Laboratories of California to fuel their own comic book culture manias.

And while they and other geekdom sites sell their potions online and to retailers, Canadians need not apply.

“The Canadian Customs is very strict with caffeine products,” and because of that they have rejected it, said Jenni Huang, spokeswoman for Harcos. “They’ve rejected orders quite a few times.”

Each 100 ml (3.4 fluid ounce) bag of Blood Potion or Zombie energy shots of packs 80 mg of caffeine, so it’s more than twice as potent as Red Bull, which has 80 mg of caffeine in a full eight ounces.

Zombie is the newest beverage in the line and differs from Blood Potion only in flavour. Zombie is, of course, green and tastes of lime. Blood Potion is dark red, with blood’s viscosity and a fruit punch flavour.

They’re called energy shots rather than drinks because they’re so potent.

I think I would be just fine not having one of those…

Is your child ravenous for all things Twilight? Try this new cookbook

If your kids are caught up in the “Twilight” craze, why not translate the madness into kitchen magic? That’s the idea behind “Love at First Bite: The Unofficial Twilight Cook Book” by Gina Meyers (iUniverse, $14.95). Within its 200 pages are family-friendly recipes, as well as plenty of “Twilight” trivia. An easy sweet snack, this treat is easy enough for kids to make with a little guidance.

Werewolf chow

9 cups rice cereal, such as Chex brand

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup peanut butter chips

1/2 cup smooth peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

11/2 cups powdered sugar

1. Place the cereal in a large zip-seal plastic bag; set aside.

2. In a large glass bowl, combine butter and chips. Cover with wax paper and microwave on high speed for about 1 minute. Stir well. If all the chips haven’t melted, microwave for an additional 10 to 20 seconds.

3. Once melted, stir in vanilla extract.

4. Pour mixture over the cereal in the plastic bag, add the powdered sugar, seal well and shake until completely mixed. Spread the mixture over a sheet of wax paper to cool thoroughly. Transfer to a serving bowl.
