One of my favorite blogs ROBsessed has a fan encounter with Rob to report. Tinkrbe1l3 ran into Rob on Saturday night just before the Marcus Foster show. She went back to the merchandise table to by a CD from the warm up act & guess who came in the door right then? I like her report because it shows how Rob turns women to butter because he really does. Here is part of her report:

As handler for Stuffie Edward I have been authorized to release the following report Stuffie Edward arrived on Friday after a very long flight from NH. Shortly after arrival we were both interviewed for Reelz Channel in the spot for Cullen Boys Anonymous. After that we moved to registration where we got our first views of how vast this convention was going to be. Meeting some fantastic fans in the line around us we made some quick friends that we found several times during the convention. We attended the welcome dinner with appearances from the Hillywood Show and Evil Iguanas along with a Becka and Bailey 2 of the TwiCon partners. After that it was time to relax in the fantastic hotel room at the Sheraton Dallas. After waking up early we were ready to go for the first day of convention events. We were sadly not able to get in for 100 Monkeys autographs however we did go into the vendor hall and meet several event organizers and amazing vendors along with some fans that we met the first day waiting to register. Attending the Webmasters panel was interesting. Stuffie Edward commented about learning a great deal from both His Golden Eyes and Twilight Series Theories, also attending was Kaleb Nation and Twilight Moms. We were in attendance at the CullenBoysAnonymous meet up room where several of his stuffie travel companions; namely another Stuffie Edward, Bella, Alice and Emmett; were up for raffle. We met some great CBA’s including Kismet and were very popular. We even had other convention gowers running down from the 37th floor for Cullen-sicles which were in high demand. After dinner it was time for the 100 Monkeys concert featuring National Rifle and Mitch Hansen. The openers were FANTASTIC and Stuffie Edward greatly enjoyed rocking out with the other Twihards. When 100 Monkeys took the stage the yell was almost deafening. The rocked with a short set featuring a CBA favorite The Monkey Song. With the Bana-ger in the crowd and everyone dancing it was a wonderful show. Early morning again on day 3 for pictures with Jackson, Q&A and Autograph signings. While waiting we met more fans of Jasper/Jackson and of course paused for a photo op (Stuffie Edward can be such a ham). Stuffie Edward declined to be photographed with Jackson as he wanted to give me my shining moment Sunday morning was the hectic check out and good byes and then coffee with Jackson event. After a wonderful Q&A (thank you Jackson for the time it was great) the moderators told us to look and see if there was a star on the bottom of our chairs. Stuffie Edward was that lucky recipient though he gave up that honor to CBA’s biggest Jackson fan Jess, upon which she got her Twilight book with a personalized autograph. After that of course it was the sad time of saying goodbye to all our new friends and old ones alike, wishing all safe travel back home. Personally I would like to add that working with Stuffie Edward is a great experience and a wonderful ice-breaker when you have no idea what to say. Please let me know what you think of his interactions and what else you would like to see.

The Twilight Examiner, Amanda Bell has an interview with Phil Taylor, Bobby Longs manager. They discuss his company, Up All Night Music & his clients among other things. One of my favorite parts in where she asks Phil what it is about Marcus Foster, Robert Pattinson, Sam Bradley and Bobby Long that have made them so “well-balanced and cooperative” with co-authoring songs together like “Let Me Sign” and “Never Think” (both of which are featured on the “Twilight” soundtrack). Phil answers, “I think that Rob and Marcus had known each other a long time and enjoyed playing music together, and, as I say, they are both very good at it. Then they met Bobby and recognized that he is also a great musician and that he comes from a very similar musical background to them. Once introduced, they were bound to become friends. That’s why I introduced them, I mean, that’s how you create a scene. Also, people need to remember that those songs were not written for the film, or any film, but were written by a group of friends who write songs together and play them live at an open mic night each week. There was never a plan. They just love writing songs and playing them together.” Go HERE for the full interview. Amanda has been a very busy bee & has a lot of great articles so be sure to check out her other stories too. ~Kim C |

TwiCon made their special musical announcement & there isn’t one but two special guests! They are Bobby Long & Marcus Foster! *thud* *dies* Bobby & Marcus co-wrote Let Me Sign on the Twilight Soundtrack & are best mates with Robert Pattinson. They will be doing a set during the Volturi Masked Ball. TwiCon will also be having a contest where you can win a song dedication from them during the Ball. To listen to the announcement from Bailey (NoMoreMarbles) & Becka HERE. You have to listen to at least the first 7:30 before they make the announcement. So here’s the deal…Bailey made the announcement Tuesday night on the podcast (which if you remember was promoted as A Special Musical Guest To Be Announced) but it’s not on the TwiCon website yet, nor much of anywhere. So what is going on? We would really like to know. Here is a recent Blast Magazine article you can read on Bobby, Marcus & Sam Bradley. Kim & Jess |
