As handler for Stuffie Edward I have been authorized to release the following report :D

Stuffie Edward arrived on Friday after a very long flight from NH.  Shortly after arrival we were both interviewed for Reelz Channel in the spot for Cullen Boys Anonymous.  After that we moved to registration where we got our first views of how vast this convention was going to be.  Meeting some fantastic fans in the line around us we made some quick friends that we found several times during the convention.  We attended the welcome dinner with appearances from the Hillywood Show and Evil Iguanas along with a Becka and Bailey 2 of the TwiCon partners.  After that it was time to relax in the fantastic hotel room at the Sheraton Dallas.

After waking up early we were ready to go for the first day of convention events.  We were sadly not able to get in for 100 Monkeys autographs however we did go into the vendor hall and meet several event organizers and amazing vendors along with some fans that we met the first day waiting to register.  Attending the Webmasters panel was interesting.  Stuffie Edward commented about learning a great deal from both His Golden Eyes and Twilight Series Theories, also attending was Kaleb Nation and Twilight Moms.  We were in attendance at the CullenBoysAnonymous meet up room where several of his stuffie travel companions; namely another Stuffie Edward, Bella, Alice and Emmett; were up for raffle.  We met some great CBA’s including Kismet and were very popular.  We even had other convention gowers running down from the 37th floor for Cullen-sicles which were in high demand.  After dinner it was time for the 100 Monkeys concert featuring National Rifle and Mitch Hansen.  The openers were FANTASTIC and Stuffie Edward greatly enjoyed rocking out with the other Twihards.  When 100 Monkeys took the stage the yell was almost deafening.  The rocked with a short set featuring a CBA favorite The Monkey Song.  With the Bana-ger in the crowd and everyone dancing it was a wonderful show.

Early morning again on day 3 for pictures with Jackson, Q&A and Autograph signings.  While waiting we met more fans of Jasper/Jackson and of course paused for a photo op (Stuffie Edward can be such a ham).  Stuffie Edward declined to be photographed with Jackson as he wanted to give me my shining moment :D and we moved on to wait for Q&A.  Press pass got us at 2nd row on the right side of the stage and though short the panel was a lot of fun.  Meeting other press from several other fan sites and local press was a great education.  We were (as press) able to attend the meet and greet where we did get some photos of the cast interacting with their fans.  One CBA member had the night that made her TwiCon experience when she was able to meet Kellan and have him sit next to her.  After that was the Volturi Ball.  Stuffie Edward was in attendance however declined to be photographed again, this time because he was not in costume.  The masks and dresses of all attending were amazing.  We saw Marcus Foster, Bobby Long and Sam Bradley perform an acoustic set and were very impressed.  Personally since I had not seen them before I think I have some new CD’s to purchase.  There was an additional meet and greet table with all three that we attended and got some pictures however since the lack of costume Stuffie Edward did not appear again.  After that returning to our room for another 3 hours of sleep till the next day.

Sunday morning was the hectic check out and good byes and then coffee with Jackson event.  After a wonderful Q&A (thank you Jackson for the time it was great) the moderators told us to look and see if there was a star on the bottom of our chairs.  Stuffie Edward was that lucky recipient though he gave up that honor to CBA’s biggest Jackson fan Jess, upon which she got her Twilight book with a personalized autograph.  After that of course it was the sad time of saying goodbye to all our new friends and old ones alike, wishing all safe travel back home.

Personally I would like to add that working with Stuffie Edward is a great experience and a wonderful ice-breaker when you have no idea what to say.  Please let me know what you think of his interactions and what else you would like to see.

sam bradley Sam Bradley Q&A With J 14

J-14 has an interview with Sam Bradley in their current issue on news stands now. They posted this excerpt on thir website, to read the full interview pick up a current issue of J-14:

J-14 recently met up with musician Sam Bradley at a coffee shop in Vancouver, Canada, where we chatted about how he got started in music, being part of the Twilight soundtrack, and his longtime buddy Rob Pattinson.

J-14: Did you always know that you wanted to do music as a career?
Sam: Yes. I think when I had written my first song, I was ready. I was like, “Oh my god! I love this. I want to do this for the rest of my life.” It hasn’t really become a career until fairly recently, but I’ve been given a gift, a platform with a phenomenon here that is Twilight. It’s a great thing to be attached to.

J-14: How did your song end up on the Twilight soundtrack?
Sam: Rob just played the song at a gig. We wrote it together [in the U.K.] and it was an incomplete song because I came back to Canada — he took it in his direction and I took it in mine. My version’s called “Too Far Gone” and his version is called “Never Think.” We’ve both gone through a few titles for the song, but regardless, we have different interpretations and I think it’s extremely cool.

J-14: What was it like hearing your own music in the film?
Sam: Well, the first time I saw it I was with my friend Tom. We were at the L.A. premiere. The whole thing was just nuts! Thousands of people outside, doing the autographs and stuff and then seeing Rob’s face on the screen — it was magical!

J-14: Have you written anything specifically for the sequel?
Sam:There’s nothing specific, but I write about a lot of different things so there are things that may fit.

J-14: What has it been like to see Rob go through all of this craziness?
Sam: I think he deals with it like anyone else would. He’s a blessed man right now and he’s enjoying himself, but it’s his job and this is his life that he has chosen.

Sam Bradley Singing In Nashville & Hinting About Robert Pattinson

Categories: sam bradley

Earlier today we posted an article from Twilight Examiner Amanda Bell in which she gets to hang with Bobby Long & Sam Bradley during a tour stop in Nashville. She mentions in her article about Sam singing Too Far Gone and telling the audience that the girl this song was written about called him and now “she wants to talk.” Here is some great video of it! He also mentions that he thinks she just “fancied” his other friend … hmm …. I wonder who he could be talking about?

Thanks to backseatsandbar for the video.

Bobby Long And Sam Bradley: Truly Genuine Artists and People

WOW! I can hardly write after reading this wonderfully in depth piece on Bobby Long & Sam Bradley by Amanda Bell, The Twilight Examiner. Not only did Amanda get to attend their Nashville concert, she got to hang out with them *dies* and has written the most amazing report about Sam and Bobby:

To say that success is not a head-dweller for Bobby Long and Sam Bradley would be an exceptional understatement. The continuity of personality between the performance artists that they are on-stage and the individuals that they are after all the work is through only goes to show that they are, above all else, genuine, intelligent, and compassionate people. Bringing their lovely voices and messages to their devoted audiences, the faces that Bobby Long and Sam Bradley present to their fans are the very same ones they carry at three o’clock in the morning strategy sessions with their hard-working team.

Video From Sam Bradley’s Merville Hall Concert

Our friend Deb was at Sam Bradley’s concert Friday night at Merville Hall and sent us a write up about it & her video. Enjoy!

It was a great show, small venue so it was very cozy. The capacity of the hall was 191 people max.

Sam was mingling in the audience before he and his band performed, and it seemed that he knew quite a few people in the audience. I was able to pick up an EP of some of Sam’s earlier work that he had available to purchase at the event… I was too shy to approach him for an autograph, but one of my friends took the EP cover up to him and had him signed it for me after the show.(Yay!) I listened to the EP over and over again on my two hour drive home, it helped to make the drive much more enjoyable as I cursed down the Island Highway in my little smart car. Oh and I should mention that Sam’s sister from England was there was well, she is visiting him right now and she joined him on stage!

The “Micro Music Fest” was an all ages event with three other acts: Clarus, Natalie Germann, and Vestige. I would approximate about 100 people were in attendance if that, as my ticket was # 94 so not a large crowd. I was able to get very close to the stage and get some nice close up video’s with my camera. The only thing that I missed being that it was an all ages event, was no alcohol was available. There were quite a few teens in attendance but we were by far not the oldest (thank god), I was worried that it was going to be a tween scream fest. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the event was far from that. All in all it was a wonderful evening filled with great music from a variety of artists!

Cheers Deb…

Thank you Deb for sending this to us! All the CBA girls are so jealous of you for getting to see Sam live.

PopStar Meet The Brit Pack PopStar has an article referring to the new Brit Pack: “Forget the Rat Pack and the Brat Pack there is a new Pack in town turning heads wherever they go. The Brit Pack consists of Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson, actor Tom Sturridge and Bobby Long, Marcus Foster and Sam Bradley the three most amazing song writers/performers out of the UK. Try to keep up; Bobby and Tom were recently spotted at a concert for Marcus in London while Rob was spotted behind stage at Sam’s concert in Vancouver. We are all about the Brit Pack!”

I know the wolf pack may be hot but I’ll take this pack over the wolf pack anytime.

The Twilight Examiner Interviews Phil Taylor

Categories: Robert Pattinson, bobby long, marcus foster, sam bradley

The Twilight Examiner, Amanda Bell has an interview with Phil Taylor, Bobby Longs manager. They discuss his company, Up All Night Music & his clients among other things.

One of my favorite parts in where she asks Phil what it is about Marcus Foster, Robert Pattinson, Sam Bradley and Bobby Long that have made them so “well-balanced and cooperative” with co-authoring songs together like “Let Me Sign” and “Never Think” (both of which are featured on the “Twilight” soundtrack). Phil answers, “I think that Rob and Marcus had known each other a long time and enjoyed playing music together, and, as I say, they are both very good at it. Then they met Bobby and recognized that he is also a great musician and that he comes from a very similar musical background to them. Once introduced, they were bound to become friends. That’s why I introduced them, I mean, that’s how you create a scene. Also, people need to remember that those songs were not written for the film, or any film, but were written by a group of friends who write songs together and play them live at an open mic night each week. There was never a plan. They just love writing songs and playing them together.”

Go HERE for the full interview. Amanda has been a very busy bee & has a lot of great articles so be sure to check out her other stories too.
