Cam loved Vamps so much in Twilight he came back for more! Alright I kid about that part, but his new film really does have Vampires in it. Here is a little blurp about the film and the trailer.  Side note: The Vampires in this film are nothing like the one we are used to. (Meaning no sparkle, great clothes or iffy wig choices).  It looks like something I would go see!

Set 100 years from now after the war between Christians and Satanists, the film is about a Christian warrior priest (Paul Bettany) who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a priestess (Maggie Q) to track down a cult of vampire outlaws that is led by a former Christian and now a Satanic priest, Black Hat (Karl Urban), who kidnapped his niece before they brainwash her.

The new trailer for Burlesque, a film which introduces singer Christina Aguilera into the movie world, features Cam Gigandet, the actor who portrayed “James” in Twilight.

In Burlesque, Gigandet portrays “Jack,” a bartender.

Burlesque is one of many new films which Gigandet is a part of, and it opens on November 24, 2010.

Gigandet recently appeared at Comic-Con to promote his movie Priest (co-starring Stephen Moyer and Paul Bettany), and that movie opens on May 13, 2011.

He’s also featured in Easy A, opening September 17th of this year, Kerosene Cowboys, opening November 7th, and The Roommate, hitting theaters on February 4, 2011.

While Gigandet is known for his work as the “bad guy” in movies like Twilight and Never Back Down, he certainly doesn’t seem to be extending that reputation into Burlesque.

Quite the opposite, in fact. Looking at the trailer, one can see that his character is instrumental in the progress that the protagonist “Ali Rose” (Aguilera) makes in the world of show business.

Clevver TV has a new video talking about the upcoming new movie ‘Priest’, which is said to star ‘Twilight’s’ Cam Gigandet and Stephen Moyer from ‘True Blood’. Another great movie to look forward to!

Twilight Treasury sent us these great pictures of shirtless Cam. The top one is from his ‘Never Back Down’ days & the bottom one is of course from ‘Twilight’.  What gym is he at and can i join? I would work out to that any day!! How about you ladies?

Cam Gigandet is set to star alongside Paul Bettany in Priest, a live-action version of the TokyoPop comic book of the same name.  Cam’s role will be a minor supporting role compared to his Twilight vampire James. 

“Directed by Charles Stewart, ‘Priest’ is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires and follows a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.”

But now that Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet have each shown off their toned chests recently, Twilighters are thirsty for more.

Lautner put on 30 lbs. to bulk up for the role of shape shifting werewolf Jacob Black in New Moon. His buff bod was unveiled when the movie’s trailer debuted at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. Pattinson displayed his white hot abs while filming in Italy. And Gigandet has been spotted out showing off his chiseled muscles. (Gigandet does not appear in New Moon, but he won MTV’s golden popcorn for best fight scene along with Pattinson for their Twilight face-off.)
