Okay, okay, Kristen and Robert and Taylor weren’t in town, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t up for saying hello to the other guys in Forks, Washington. Watch as we talk giant pillows, trombones, and ‘wolfification’ with the likes of director David Slade, vampires Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, and Xavier Samuel, as well as werewolves Alex Meraz and, um, Booboo Stewart. While “The Twilight Saga” is undoubtedly beloved its fans, it’s hard to argue that the fanbase will be able to turn it into one of the highest grossing film franchises out there. Sure, Summit said that “Eclipse” got more guys to the cinemas than the previous two films, but we doubt that is going to translate into higher box office revenue for the two “Breaking Dawn” films.

But even though “The Twilight Saga” isn’t the highest grossing film series, TheWrap argues that it is the most financially successful. How can “Twilight” be more successful than “Harry Potter,” “Pirates of the Caribbean” or “The Lord of the Rings,” you might ask? Because they’re so dirt cheap to make.

“Twilight” only cost $37 million to make, back when Summit thought they were backing a small indie film adaptation. The film went on to gross more than $392.5 million worldwide, which meant Summit was willing to give filmmaker Chris Weitz a slightly larger budget to film “New Moon.”

But still, “New Moon,” with all its CGI and gorgeous aerial shots, only cost $50 million to make, and grossed over $709.7 million worldwide. And even though “Eclipse” cost $68 million to make, it earned that back in its opening day, and has grossed more than $275 million in six days.

Compared to that, TheWrap reports that the first film in each of the “LotR,” “Pirates” and “Harry Potter” films cost around $100 million to make ($93 million, $140 million and $125 million respectively), with costs increasing on each of the films to an impressive $300 million for “At World’s End,” which barely made that money back in domestic release, and “Half-Blood Prince,” which cost $250 million to make and earned back just under a billion worldwide.

And even though the two “Breaking Dawn” films are going to cost about $100 million a piece, at the rate the “Twilight” films are making money, they’re still going to make probably seven or eight times as much as they cost to produce. Experts doubt that “Eclipse” will likely beat out “New Moon” by much in the box office, but even so, Summit will have made more than $600 million in box office profits.

TheWrap also references the way “Twilight” has almost single-handedly saved clothing store Hot Topic as well as revived the soundtrack industry. They even mention MTV’s old “Twilight Tuesdays,” which were used to promote “Twilight” back in 2008 by releasing fresh content every Tuesday leading up until the film’s release.

So haters can keep on hating, but “The Twilight Saga” will likely go down in history as the smartest move a film production company ever took, and many other ones will try to emulate its success for years to come.

While I’m sure the other two looked lovely, this photo of Rob wearing a maroon Gucci suit really stuck out – in a good way! I think it’s great when a man decides to take a fashion risk like this. In my opinion, he certainly pulled it off!

Looking very sexy and very British in a burgundy suit by Gucci that only HE could pull off, Rob made the social rounds while on the carpet taking pictures with fans and signing autographs with all the precious sweeties that are probably anxious to take a shower now that they got some face-time with Rob.

But if any man is worth standing in line for 4 days, it’s him. I mean, I’ve waited since last November to see Mr. Pattinson run those fingers through that perfectly coiffed hair. And let me just say, for the record: It. Was. Totally. Worth. It.

I don’t normally feature guys on my site, but I just can’t get over how fabulous Robert Pattinson looks in his maroon Gucci Fall 2010 suit.

He really stood out amongst mostly uninspiring looks red carpet for the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse LA Premiere”.

Taylor Lautner also wore a grey Gucci suit, but if I was him I would be wishing I picked out something equally as dapper.

It looks like Robert Pattinson may have been channeling his onscreen vampire alter ego Edward Cullen at Thursday night’s Twilight Saga: Eclipse premiere in Los Angeles. The 24-year-old star got tongues wagging with his, dare we say, blood-colored suit when he stepped onto the red carpet in the slim-fitting heritage style from Gucci’s fall/winter 2010 collection. Paired with a soft gray shirt and skinny black tie, Pattinson definitely looked prepared for the fang-tastically good night ahead of him. And while the British heartthrob is no stranger to going glam in Gucci every now and then, we’re wondering if his choice of a bold suit was maybe a bit too literal for a vampire movie premiere — or even if it could be in homage to his newly revealed ancestor, Dracula? But with his shaggy do back in place along with his usual scruff, we’re quite certain that R. Patz will have no problem sizzling in any look–blood, sweat or with tears.

During the APLive interview on the Eclipse Premiere Red Carpet, Stephenie Meyer commented on what she thought the perfect time to break Breaking Dawn into 2 movies would be:

“Eyes open and they are red – CUT!”

Under a tent on the roof of a parking garage in downtown L.A., just steps away from where the Los Angeles Film Festival screening of the movie was held, I’m told waiters are passing around bite-size pizzas and chicken pot pies along with “Jacob’s Mini Burgers,” a sirloin patty with lettuce and slices of tomato and pickle.

There are six separate serving stations, each with their own theme, sources tell me. “Edward’s Sliders” include short rib sliders, onion rings and crispy slaw while “Bella’s Sweets” is reserved for desserts including ice cream sundaes, chocolate brownie pudding and “Forest S’mores.”

Another station offers up salmon from the pacific northwest (natch!) and “Foggy Day in Seattle” has some steamin’ chicken & chili.

And in honor of Forks High School, there’s meatloaf and mac & cheese being served from cafeteria trays.

Did you catch Lucy/Kirsten Prout’s comment about Rob and Kstew? APLive asked her to about them and she mumbled some nonstuff, but at the end, she seemed to forget the party line and said “They are definitely a modest couple.”
