This weekend, the cast of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was very, very busy jet-setting across the country to visit local cinema showings of the film. Slowly, the cities and specific locations for the appearances were revealed, but the castmembers making appearances for the events were kept a secret for the most part. The appearances took place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Friday, the cities whose fans got to see the cast were Chicago (Julia Jones), Kansas City (Gil Birmingham), Las Vegas (Kiowa Gordon), Los Angeles (Dakota Fanning), Minneapolis (Charlie Bewley), Nashville (Tinsel Korey), Orange County (Justin Chon), Vancouver (Tyson Houseman), and Washington, D.C (Christian Serratos). You can see a photo of and mini-interview with Julia Jones in Chicago here. Meanwhile, Gil Birmingham’s Facebook page has its own set of photos from his appearance, and a local news station (KMBC) interviewed Birmingham from the event. Photos from Gordon’s appearance in Las Vegas can be found here and here, and Tinsel Korey tweeted about her showing in Nashville (Christian Serratos did the same for her appearance in D.C.). More on Houseman’s appearance in Vancouver can be found here, and the O.C. Register has quite a few photos of Justin Chon in Orange County here. Go here to see Videos and the rest of the article |

ClevverTV talked with Twilight’s Chaske Spencer on the set of his public service announcement for Shift The Power To the People. The goal of the PSA is to raise awareness for the recent storms that have devastated the people of South Dakota leaving over 9000 people without heat, power, water or food. Chaske asks that you call your congressmen and senators to request support. Joslyn tries hard to get Chaske to talk about Twilight! They do discuss the wolf pack, working out, Taylor Lautner, and touches generally on Eclipse and New Moon. Chaske says he is really curious what David Slade will come up with for Eclipse. You can watch the PSA, with so many of the Twilight cast in it, at the end of the interview. Cast members involved include Chaske Spencer, Julia Jones, Gil Birmingham, Boo Boo Stewart, Alex Meraz and Justin Chon. Go to the link below for more information. |

My daughter and I attended the Twi/Tour in Phoenix this weekend and it was a blast. While some of the big names couldn’t make it, the stars who did come were funny and enthusiastic. I could not tape the question and answer session, but I’ll give you some of the flavor. Actors speaking include Michael Welsh, Edi Gathegi, Gil Birmingham, Alex Meraz, and Chaske Spencer.
Great fun, you should have been there! Twifans has transcripts of Edi’s talk. |

Twilight Examiner posted this short article about how Gil Birmingham is just as musically talented as some of his “Twilight’ co-stars. They also posted a link to a video of him playing the guitar and singing on the Em and Sam Mac radio show while in Australia.

Twilighters Anonymous has an interview with everyone’s favorite Gill Birmingham. Here is an excerpt: TA.com: How did you first hear about the movie Twilight, and can you tell us a little bit about your audition process for the role of Billy Black? GB: My agent brought me the script. At that time, I knew little about the Twilight books, but I knew that the character had a unique story, and that the vampire/werewolf romance genre had a great appeal. I felt very connected with the character, which apparently showed during the audition process. TA.com: Has the Twilight hype affected you in anyway? After having gone through one Twilight film already, do you feel you are better prepared for the hype the second time around? GB: The whole Twilight experience has been truly amazing. I am constantly in awe of the love and support that Twilight fans all over the world continue to give me. The downside is that I have less time now to communicate directly with my fans, but I hope they know that I feel truly blessed to be a part of this thing called Twilight. I’m at the point in my life where I can appreciate all the adoration from fans, but not get swept up in all the hype. I’m still the same Gil Birmingham I was before Twilight. Read the full interview HERE. We love you Gil! You are the perfect Billy Black, no one could have done it better. |
