Volturi Banner(1) The Twilight Saga: Eclipse stars appear all over the country to greet fans at local screenings

This weekend, the cast of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was very, very busy jet-setting across the country to visit local cinema showings of the film.

Slowly, the cities and specific locations for the appearances were revealed, but the castmembers making appearances for the events were kept a secret for the most part.

The appearances took place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

On Friday, the cities whose fans got to see the cast were Chicago (Julia Jones), Kansas City (Gil Birmingham), Las Vegas (Kiowa Gordon), Los Angeles (Dakota Fanning), Minneapolis (Charlie Bewley), Nashville (Tinsel Korey), Orange County (Justin Chon), Vancouver (Tyson Houseman), and Washington, D.C (Christian Serratos).

You can see a photo of and mini-interview with Julia Jones in Chicago here. Meanwhile, Gil Birmingham’s Facebook page has its own set of photos from his appearance, and a local news station (KMBC) interviewed Birmingham from the event. Photos from Gordon’s appearance in Las Vegas can be found here and here, and Tinsel Korey tweeted about her showing in Nashville (Christian Serratos did the same for her appearance in D.C.). More on Houseman’s appearance in Vancouver can be found here, and the O.C. Register has quite a few photos of Justin Chon in Orange County here.

NewMoon 221x300 Summit Announces Cast Appearances at New Moon DVD Parties

Yesterday, Summit (Via @Twilight Twitter) announced “Tomorrow make sure check @Twilight often as we make some exciting #NewMoonDVD announcements!”

Today, they declared “The cast and crew of New Moon are going to some #NewMoonDVD midnight release parties this Friday! Check back often as we let you know who is going where for the #NewMoonDVD Midnight release parties!”

It appears they have been announcing them on the hour, but here is what we know so far:

Peter Facinelli is going to New York for New Moon DVD Party.

Edi Gathegi will be in Pittsburgh.

Chaske Spencer and Tyson Houseman will be in Atlanta.

Melissa Rosenberg (Screenwriter) will be in Seattle.

Justin Chon, Christian Serratos, and Michael Welch will be in Salt Lake City.

Charlie Bewley will be in Denver.

Elizabeth Reaser will be in Phoenix.

Kiowa Gordon and Tinsel Korey will be in Cincinnati.

Daniel Cudmore will be in Houston.

Last, but not least. Nikki Reed and Chris Weitz in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately, they have not announced which location the cast members will attend, only the city.  So, if you happen to be attending a party in one of these cities, cross your fingers you choose the right one.

We will update this post as Summit continues to announce more cast appearances.

Justin Chon Comments on Slade’s Approach to Eclipse

JustinChon Justin Chon Comments on Slades Approach to Eclipse

Marc Malkin of E! interviewed Justin Chon recently and has provided us with these tantalizing little snippets about the direction of Eclipse and Rob’s life in Vancouver:

“He’s (Slade’s) done pretty dark films so that’s where I see [Eclipse] really gravitating towards—more of a dark kind of moody film,” Chon said yesterday at BAFTA’s pre-Emmy tea party. “Just shooting the scenes that I’m in, the mood is definitely different.”

“David is very set on how he wants this movie to be portrayed,” Chon said. “It’s a lot more refined and maybe not as loose as the last two—at least for us humans. I can only imagine what he’s doing with everyone else.”

Chon also confirmed reports that Robert Pattinson has been living in a house rather than the usual hotel during filming in Vancouver, Canada.

“Security has been increased a lot,” Chon said. “They’re a lot more protective…If Rob was to go out in public without anybody, I think it could be pretty dangerous.”

Even so, Pattz is dealing with the attention well. “It takes him a lot more time to get in and out of places,” Chon said. “But he doesn’t get angry. He’s handling things great.”

208zcz5 Justin Chon Interview
Radar Online sat with Justine Chon recently, in Hollywood. Justin, who plays Erik Yorkie in the Twilight Saga movies, comments on Eclipse in the first video and more about Twilight-related life in the second part:

On paparazzi and whether the cast gives each other advise on handling them, he commented:

“I’m more free to walk the streets than Rob is…I don’t feel bad for him…He is the heart throb of the world. How can you fell bad for the guy. (Laughs.)”

On being the only non-white human in Twilight he joked:

“I felt like a drop of piss in an Everest of snow.”

Twilight Stars Sweep London’s Film and Comic Convention

RadarOnline.com has an exclusive video and blog from Twilight fan Laura in London getting to meet some of the wonderful cast of New Moon. Here is some of her experience with the cast.

Peter Facinelli stood me up! OK, not quite — but he did forget his passport and miss his flight to London, meaning he wouldn’t make London Film and Comic Con on Saturday, which I’d been looking forward to since I pre-bought my ticket months ago!
Alex, on the other hand… Oh. Holy. Hotness! That boy’s biceps must need extra checking at the airport – yowza! I’d never really gotten the whole ‘Team Paul’ thing before but, in person my mind went blank… Robert who? Alex was also very kind, overlooking my bashfulness and signing my wolf-pack print. I asked for a hug (as I’d heard they were great) and he gave me a proper bear-squeeze. Being held by those muscles is no bad thing!
Alex was asked mostly about his reaction to the fan base, which he apparently worries is premature considering New Moon isn’t even out yet and when asked how he’s adjusting to the female attention, he simply responded, “Well?” with a chuckle. He then spoke about the auditioning process. Apparently all Native American actors read for Sam Uley’s role and because he played it really ‘angry’ he got the part of Paul, whereas Kiowa played it much younger and hence got Embry with Chaske reading it more ‘alpha’ and so became Sam.

So do you think Peter Facinelli didn’t show? Well i know the answer to this one and if you want to find out too plus read even more of this GREAT experience. Then go Here to Radar Online to see the Video and Fan encounter they sent us. Because all i have to say is WOW i wish this was me!!

How great is it that Stephenie is so on-hands with the filming process? It just makes us love her and the movies that much more.

Thanks Twilight-Gossip for sharing the pictures, and thank you Sue who took the pictures. See more pics HERE.
