Here is Michael Sheen, before his Volturi makeover, on his flight into Vancouver. He posted this picture on his Twitter: Here are a couple of pictures of Michael Sheen, in Vancouver B.C., clean shaven after his Volturi Makeover:
When he arrived in Vancouver the other day, Michael Sheen was grizzly. Click here to see. Yesterday after his first day shooting Other Twilight sightings: fans spotted Peter Facinelli who went into H&M in the afternoon and stocked up, leaving with 5 shopping bags. Gifts for his girls! Kristen Stewart stayed quiet, enjoying her first day off in a while – not including weekends. And the cutest couple ever, Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez, were out again last night for dinner, protected by a hulking security guard. As I’ve already reported, yesterday’s scenes involved the Volturi and Carlisle in a flashback explaining what happens to vampires who break the rules. Then they reject Edward’s request. Today: Edward is hurled in the air, tossed against a wall when he attempts to protect Bella. Am pretty sure in the book his torture consisted of him writhing on the floor in pain. Obviously, visually, the throwing is much more spectacular, requiring much less emphasis on, um, Robert Pattinson’s facial expressions. Every time he was hurting in the first movie, he looked like he wanted to poo. Oh hush Twi-hards. It was the direction! Also on sched: Aro is convinced to release Bella, Edward, and Alice because he sees the vision. ~Kim C |

So, I asked Michael Sheen via my Twitter-page if we would see any interview’s with him anytime soon about his part in the Sequel “New Moon”. I got a response back, and I of course want to share it with you CBA readers.
We are waiting with excitement to see what Michael has to say about the Community and the movie. Also, Michael reported via his twitter that he would be going to Italy soon and start his part next month. |

“But you’ve also got to wonder if Weitz sought Sheen out because he’d lend the production a credibility that even the casting of Dakota Fanning as Volturi member Jane hadn’t managed. Comments on our weekend news brief about Sheen’s casting make you think he might’ve succeeded: Sara: Holy crap! Now I will definitely go see this movie! I love Michael Sheen! beelkay: Fantastic! Now that I can get behind. I just hope all these good actors they’re getting lift the original cast’s game rather than overshadow them. Jessi: I wasn’t sure if I’d bother to see New Moon in theatres, but I definitely will now! Michael Sheen is exactly the kind of actor Summit needs to cast to atone for the mediocrity of the first film. and my personal favorite… stella: Twilight is a piece of trash, but Michael Sheen is the s—. With the addition of the likes of Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen, we can definitely surmise that we are no longer dealing with low expectations from Summit Entertainment, or a low budget for that matter. Perhaps, rightly, we can put to bed our concerns over the accuracy of the book-to-film translation (as, we saw, most of them stemmed from worry that the studio would underestimate our staying power as Twilight fans). Though some fans have shown disappointment with the look of Jamie Campbell-Bower (see here) for Caius, perhaps the casting folks on the project got it right with this one. After all, Michael Sheen, a forty year old man, is clearly not a kid (which was one of the major complaints over the choice of Campbell-Bower). This article is a must read for Twilighters. He has immortalised Tony Blair, David Frost and, most recently, legendary football manager Brian Clough on the big screen. Now actor Michael Sheen is set to return to the realm of the firmly fictional after agreeing to play a vampire in the sequel to the blockbuster film Twilight. Sheen, 40, who made his name with uncannily realistic portrayals of well-known figures in Oscar-winning films The Queen, Frost/Nixon and The Damned United, will get his biggest pay cheque yet, a reported £5million, to star in New Moon. But he will be hoping the movie brings him better luck than his first foray into the vampire genre, the 2003 movie Underworld, starring Kate Beckinsale, with whom he has a daughter. In New Moon, Sheen will play Aro, the leader of an Italian vampire clan called the Volturi. Director Chris Weitz confirmed Sheen’s casting to The Mail on Sunday and said he had ‘aggressively’ pursued the actor. ‘Michael’s role is so important because he’s the head of all vampires,’ he said. ‘Aro is, on the surface, a very gracious and friendly vampire, but beneath that he is a tremendous threat.’ So what does everyone think? Let us know. Thanks to Nino for the great tip! ~Kim C |
