LAPUSH — Actress Tinsel Korey, who plays a supporting role in the film, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” gave a Christmas treat to all of the students at the Quileute Tribal School.

Each student received a personally autographed photo from Korey.

Korey had visited LaPush and Neah Bay in September to talk about acting with the students at the tribal schools.

“Tinsel autographed the photos after her visit in the fall for each student, and I wanted them to receive them for a special occasion,” said Jackie Jacobs, tribal publicist.

“I thought it would be a special treat for them to receive them for Christmas.”

Each photo not only was autographed but personalized with each child’s name and a message.

In the movie, Korey plays a pivotal role in showing the danger of extreme emotions for the werewolves. When Sam first transforms into a werewolf, he badly scars Emily’s face.

Korey also visited several of the tribal children who attended the November premiere of the movie in Los Angeles.

“I was moved to tears when she requested the student list from Stephanie at the front desk of the tribal school. And when she proceeded to write each student’s name on her photo, I actually did cry knowing how much that would to mean to the kids,” Jacobs said.

Korey had visited the tribal school for several days during her September visit, Jacobs said.

“The students love Tinsel, and this latest gesture is yet another example of the beauty of her spirit,” said Tribal Chairwoman Carol Hatch.

Today, Tinsel Korey tweeted that she attended yesterday’s Arizona Cardinals game against the St. Louis Rams, here in my home state.  She wrote:

“Went 2 a Cardinals game yesterday, football is growing on me. But can’t wait to end off 09′ with a Canucks game tomorrow. GO CANUCKS GO!”

Tinsel, you should really become a fan. They are the NFC West champions, after all.

Tinsel Korey had a interview with Foforks, which was a great interview. Here are some of the things she said:

Hi Tinsel, before starting just let me say that we are really happy and really excited to be talking to you, because we haven’t seen you around that much, so it’s a pretty cool thing to have this chance to know you a little bit better. Here at Foforks we are such huge fans from the whole cast, so we are dying to know everything we can about you and your character in the Saga.
1) So let’s begin with how was the audition process to get your role in New Moon? And how was shooting the sequence?

I auditioned in L.A. with the director Chris Weitz and casting directors Rene Haynes and Joseph Middleton. Filming was great, Chris is a very warm and talented director. I can’t wait to see his vision of New Moon come to life.
3) Well, for now you are the only girl inside the Wolf Pack, so you were surrounded by all those (shirtless and hot, lol) boys, how was filming with them? Did they play around a lot or give you a hard time for being the only girl there?

The boys are awesome. They’re exactly like their characters, I think they did an amazing job with casting.

Have you read the Twilight Saga books? If yes, which book is your favorite and why?
I have read New Moon, and I’m reading Eclipse right now. I also own Breaking Dawn. I’ll have to get back to you on which one is my favorite.

How long is the process of getting into makeup and costume for Emily and can you describe it?
It takes hours to perfect the make-up and you’ll have to wait for the movie to see the magic that the makeup/SPX department created ?

Do you have anything more that you’d like to share with Twilight fans?
I’d like to thank them for all the support I’ve received and I’m glad I get to be on this journey with them. HUGZ.
