Here’s our highly entertaining interview with the 100 Monkeys, Ben Graupner, Ben Johnson, Jackson Rathbone, Jerad Anderson, and Uncle Larry, who were in Tucson on December 30, 2009.

The first thing the guys did was grab a fake mustache and declare it the microphone. Ben Johnson gave some details about the Spencer Bell Memorial Concert in April in Dallas. Jackson and the band explain their delayed arrival in Phoenix (Time change.). They joke about how it feels to have people pretend to be them, and about them pretending to be other people. (Those Twilighters in line outside the elderly housing high-rise in LA for the NM premier, it WAS Jackson we saw!) Pretty fun stuff.

Many, many thanks to the band and their manager for talking to us and for generally being such great guys!
Thanks, also to Anna who recorded this.

This was a funny interview. Who would have thought DST would cause tardiness from the Monkeys, usually we attribute it to Monkey Standard Time. Love that the Spencer Bell Legacy concert was the first topic and Ben J mentioned Shannon and ASCCNow.
BTW, now I want a moustache mic.

Aw, thanks for this! I’ve met all of them and I was very pleased that they are just as warm, funny and great as they appear.
