Robert started acting around the age of 15, and soon after joined the Barnes Theatre Club playing parts in productions of Macbeth, Anything Goes and Tess of the D’Urbevilles. He then moved on to German television with Ring of the Nibelungs. Movies came next with Vanity Fair, and then the hugely popular Harry Potter franchise gave him a part. As Cedric Diggory, Rob had his first taste of real fame. After acting in many independent films and TV movies, including The Haunted Airman, The Summer House, The Bad Mother’s Handbook, How To Be, Little Ashes, Rob was given the part of Edward Cullen in Twilight.

Rob now splits his time between the UK and USA. Not having much time off due to press junkets for his newly released films, he still finds the occasional venue for his music, although crowd control has become an issue since the Twilight movie started filming. No longer an unknown, Rob has become a household name that can bring preteens to menopausal moms to tears.
