Lots of buzz this evening about whether the decision to make Breaking Dawn into 2 movies has been finalized. Deadline Hollywood says their sources say the decision has definitely been made and it is yes, two movies.  Also they stae that Summit is looking into “high-end” directors.

Summit however came out after that and told MTV , “No decision has been made. As we have said all along, we are continuing to work with Stephenie Meyer to bring ‘Breaking Dawn’ to the big screen.”  Gossip Cop confirms that this was indeed still Summits’ current position on Breaking Dawn,  but added this tidbit:

HOWEVER, a well-placed source tells Gossip Cop dividing Breaking Dawn into two pictures “is the direction that it’s going in.” We’re told that from a practical standpoint, separating the story into two parts and shooting back-to-back is what makes most sense.

Earlier reports seem to be fairly accurate when it comes to timing, specifically, that filming may begin in October.

Looks like something is stirring however, so maybe we’ll know shortly. How do you feel about the question – 1 movie or 2 for Breaking Dawn?

Hmm… I do like this idea. Something about that book does say to break it into two.

definitely 2 movies there is so much that happens you’d skip lot of stuff if there was just one

Two! Have part one end with Belle opening her bloodshot eyes – then black screen! Cue dramatic score. =)

I realy hope it will be two movies ! There is so many details that cant be over looked and it would not do Mrs. Stepheneie Meyers any justice. She wrote these books with a vision she wanted to share with us and thats how it should be !
I know there is alot of details with everyone envolved in this sittuation but it would be great if all the people envolved could make it happen.
Iknow this is the best book in my opinion

I guess I am the loner who thinks one movie is enough for a book that drags and then sadly builds up to nothing.

I doubt you are alone in that opinion.

I don’t understand why there is a need for 2 movies. A wedding scene 10 minutes, the honeymoon (if it fades to black – 10 minutes), if not, maybe 15…..then the rest of the movie can be done in less than 2 hours…..They are seriously trying to stretch out their money and they may end up disappointing fans.

To those who think the movie should not be made into 2 movies..should not call there selfs FANS!!!…if your love the book you shouldn’t want anything cut out of the book…so go ahead and read the book again and see HOW IT IS NEEDED TO BE 2 MOVIES INTEAD OF 1!!!
