Jackson Rathbone 320 EW Exclusive: No Ordinary Family adopts Twilight vamp Jackson Rathbone

Coming up necks for Twilight bloodsucker Jackson Rathbone: A potentially recurring role on ABC’s No Ordinary Family. The 25-year-old actor—whose two summer films, Eclipse and The Last Airbender, collectively grossed nearly $1 billion worldwide—will play Trent Stafford, a high school classmate of Kay Panabaker telepathic Daphne. Trent was recently the victim of a home invasion robbery, and I’m guessing Daphne will join forces with her superhero parents to help catch the perp.

Rathbone last appeared on the small screen in 2009, when he guest-starred as a serial killer with multiple personalities on Criminal Minds.

N.O.F. premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

This might be the only thing to get me to watch this show!

I agree with you as well, this might be the only thing that will get me to watch the show. But will Jackson be in the show regularly or will he just make a guest appearance? I checked the show’s website including their twitter and there was no information on what episode Jackson will appear at, nor was there any information of him on the main cast list at all- I did not even find a secondary cast list. In fact there was no information of him on the show at all, I looked everywhere and found nothing. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I thought the show looked at bit interesting from the info at ComiCon. I’ll check it out at least for this episode. (big surprise, right??)

The show hasn’t premiered yet, so chances are that this episode may not even have a script, let alone any knowledge if Jackson will be on for more than one episode. From what I know about characters becoming reoccurring on sitcoms, it depends on the ratings/responses from the fans as well as the direction of the show before the actor is asked to join the cast. I don’t know the politics, though it would be great.
