Here is the analysis of the full Eclipse Trailer from the same source as yesterday’s – the one we had so much fun with – HollywoodCrush The meadow scene. Oh the meadow scene. What a way to kick off the “Eclipse” trailer. This seems to be another one of Bella’s dream sequences since the visuals match up so well to what we saw at the beginning of “New Moon,” but there is also a chance this could be an actual sequence.
Our good friend Meredith Goldstein over at The Boston Globe has a theory that it is the Cullens who keep the meadow in proper form, which is why it is so beautiful in “Twilight” but a bit under the weather in “New Moon.” While I still think there’s a better chance the scene is in someone’s dreams, I like the idea of Carlisle Cullen on a John Deere, Edward laying down the mulch and Rosalie off to the side looking royally pissed off. After that, we get a shot of the Volturi striding into Forks, noting that Bella is still a human while their deal at the end of “New Moon” stipulated she should be a vampire by now. Fans will know this scene falls at the end of “Eclipse,” but it’s a nice way to transition people from the Italy-heavy “New Moon.” The sequence on Bella’s bed that follows seems to be just another one of the many back-and-forth conversations Bella and Edward have over will she or won’t she become a vampire, but the always lovely Jen Yamato over at FearNet was clever enough to realize that it actually is the “Eclipse” proposal scene. While some of you may be scratching your heads over why there would be a proposal scene in “Eclipse” when that was spoiler how “New Moon” ended, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg said that there would be a second proposal scene in “Eclipse” that is closer to how Edward proposes in the books. While we can’t really see Renee’s face in the still of her embracing Bella, we’re excited to see the return of Bella’s mother, even if it isn’t in Forks. This takes place in Florida, when Bella flies off to visit Renee and her boyfriend, and is also one of the last times Renee plays a major presence in the series. Then comes the Jacob Black exposition, which as you should probably know by now is a major part of “Eclipse.” Jake lays down a pretty convincing case to both Bella and Edward as to why he is the better man(beast) for Bella, but you can guess who she ends up choosing. One of the biggest and most dramatic moments of the trailer comes with the reveal of Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria, and while before we had hoped the makeup team would do a good job transitioning her from her predecessor, Rachelle Lefevre, we’re not very impressed. Bryce’s facial expression looks a bit intimidating, but that awful wig leaves much to be desired. I thought the point of hiring a red head was so they wouldn’t have to do that? Last but not least, we have a shirtless shot of Jacob . Sure we already saw this and stilled it from the 10 second teaser, but we’re just taking this moment to reiterate that Taylor Lautner looks the buff man much more and he is now legal. Everyone, get your drool on.

Twilight is not all about the vampires and wolves we love the humans too. Glad to see Renee again (love Charlie also, one of my favorites!) and the beach scene is beautiful!!! I cant stop saying this but I am really impressed with how beautiful and clear the scenes look! |

I’m just going to comment so that if anyone else comments, I can see that too! Yesterday’s back and forth was sooooo good! I will say, who IS this guy writing this stuff anyway?! He’s NO Twilight fan that’s for sure, some things he comments on….totally way off base! Edward doesn’t propose to Bella in HER room, it’s in HIS! And it better be right in the movie! |

Hey all! Yesterday was full of humorous and memorable comments so of course I had to check out today’s. I think this “reporter”….. and yes I use that word lightly here….. toned it down a bit after seeing the trailer because they were completely off yesterday. Playing it safe seemed to be the idea today. I hate when people who dont know about the movies, books, or even care enough about the information to do research somehow land the job of analyzing things. I am also from the United States. I mean the reason why Twilight became a huge hit is because of the love story its so rare you know. And can I say I just LOVE the cullens. the pairs and everything. Rosalie and Emmett are my second favorite couple in the series then it is Carslisle and Esme. Sorry, I need to kind of rant because this bothers me. It bothers me that all this time we have barely see anything of the Cullen family. CH kinda got it in Twilight with the little family meeting. But the Cullens are a very interesting family and Emmett. who could not love him..funny, fun big teddy bear older brother, him making fun of Bella and Bella blushing!!! where is all that? where was that in New Moon. I love Kellan as Emmett and I know he fits the character but he barely has any lines!!!!! I feel like eveything is just involved in the repitition of Jake Jake and him prancing around the screen half-naked! Althhough I am not a huge fan of the wolves we dont even get too much from the wolf pack (background info or anything)..In Breaking Dawn I reaaaly want those funny Emmett parts because this is why I loved Breaking Dawn,,Emmett’s laughter shaking the house the innuendos. we need that. I feel like Hollywood just ruins everything I mean i know it cant be exactly like the books but d amn thehy should give us a little of this stuff! Am i right? |

I say before they think of writing any of their so called “analysis” they should do research or get someone who has read the books at least! And where oh where is Ms. Meyer while all this is happening…I am pretty sure has giving up. I say after Breaking Dawn movies she should do Midningh Sun and maybe continuation (a girl can dream)..we love the cast but I think we all rather love the continuation and just read the novels. |

Trish we are definitely related lol. I LOVE Rosalie and Emmett! They are my favorite couple besides Bella and Edward. I agree that all of the Cullens should be represented more than they are in the past two movies. Cutting out the airport scene was just idiotic to me. I just dont get it at all! It really bothered me and I hope that the Cullens have a good showing in Eclipse. I want to see Rosalie’s backstory. I want to see her emotion and I know that Nikki Reed can pull it off. I want to hear about her saving Emmett. I also was not a fan of the wolves but the only wolf that wasnt overlooked was Jacob. I LOVE Seth so they better give him some scenes that make me smile at how adorable he is! Plus EVERY Cullen should get some good screen time. Would it kill them to give them more than one or two lines! |

Chrissy, hon the only reason why I say she should just make the novels so we can read is because of the sudden hype i dont like it too much they are making twilight like a brand or something a way to just cash in money. It’s just annoying that’s all. I think maybe SM just sees the movies as interpratations that is why she is probably not saying much although i like the approachment of the Volturi in the new trailer..kinda what i imagined. and where is Rachelle..like her insights. I fee like I am even willing to wait 5 years for Stephenie to publish Midnight..guess she is watiing for the hype to go down which wont happen anythime soon. Are you ladies going to see Remember Me. I just got home and I missed all this! Here is my quick 2 cents. I want more Cullens. We were so excited in the beginning as to who they were choosing etc because we had great hopes the Cullens would have major roles in the movies, just as they do in the books. That I am disappointed about. And, the Bella/Edward/Jacob triangle aspect of the story has been overdone,imo, at the expense of the Cullen family. I am a Jasper/Alice lover. My greatest wish is for SM to finish Mid Sun. As far a fanfiction, I adore it! We had an Emmett/Rose FF week so if you search within CBA, you will find some stories about them. |

I was wondering where you were Joyce! I completely agree about them overlooking the Cullens and I dont think that is fair to that amazing cast or us fans. They chose the perfect people to play the roles and yet they dont use them wisely. The Cullens are used more like background characters….I think it is so sad that they get about as much screen time as the “human” cast. There is no way Eric and Angela should be more lovey dovey than Emmett and Rose, or Jasper and Alice. The triangle is definitely overdone. I cant believe how overboard they have gone just to promote Taylor as Jacob. It is quite sickening really when you think about all of the talk of this teenage boy half naked and pretty much being used as a piece of meat. It isnt about his acting skills….which unfortunately at times seem one dimensional….it is all about his body and that is a shame. I hope in Eclipse the Cullens do get a bigger role because if not I will be crushed. Emmett and Rosalie’s story really grows in that book just like Alice and Jasper’s and they all deserve their chance to shine. |

I too adore Emmett and Rosalie…and no, the Cullens don’t get enough love in the movies! (Joyce, I enjoyed Em and Rose Fanfic week…just loved Blueberries and Copperwire, and To Be Atoned, beautiful story, I’m about half way thru that one). Anna that is an interesting observation but when I took a closer look I am not sure if that was the tattoo or not. It has a very close resemblance but at the top of the blanket it says something like “restaurant and fish market” so that doesnt seem very Quilete wolf pack to me lol. Also the shape of the tattoo looking thing on the blanket isnt a circle like the tattoo. Either way it is an interesting blanket to have in the shot and I cant wait to see the scene up close so maybe we can get a better idea of what it is. |

I dont think it is the tattoo on the blanket but I do think it has something to do with the area. That just reminds me of Twilight when Bella first arrives and walks into her room. What picture is on the wall by the door…..a picture of a wolf. Foreshadowing maybe? lol |
