Because I didn’t want to recommend anything I haven’t read myself, I did read all of the books. Here’s my thoughts…

If I were a betting person, I would bet these books will be a TV series in the future.  They have all the parts we love to see- supernatural setting grounded in ancient lore, teen love, awkwardness, rebelliousness and angst, missing parents,  simmering sexuality … the whole package. Since I don’t want to give anything away, I’ll stick to generalities. I found the setting, starting with the mental ward in the prequel, to be very interesting and I like to see how the “world” the author has created reveals itself.  The female lead is very strong, and is not submissive to the boys. I know my 16 year old will like the series.  And once I started reading,  I had to know what would happen.  The characters are easy to like,  and for the most part good is good and bad is bad, but the stories don’t go exactly where you think they might.  I’m hoping for deeper development of the adult roles in coming books -I think there is a lot to explore in those character, too.

it sounds like a great “sitting under a tree in the park on a beautiful day” kind of read. it’s deffiently a book I would read over and over and over again.

I Think The Series Sounds Awesome. I Have Heard So Many Good Things About It. The Whole Scenario Is Unique Which Is One Of The Thinks That Has Caught My Eye About This Series.

I am intrigued by this series. Much like Edward Cullen’s quest to save Bella’s soul in the Twilight Saga, I see Kaylee as a champion for the souls of her friends and townspeople. I can’t wait to see how she accomplishes this feat.
