Empire Magazine has a new article about ‘New Moon’ in their November issue which is on newsstands now.

“You’ve got the werewolves coming in,” said Weitz, “and the effects are going to be great on that part of the movie. Also, there’s more fighting and that should appeal to the boys. There is also a male character, Jacob, who is inherently a more viable character for most boys because he’s like an ordinary guy. He works on cars, whereas Edward is a perfect man, and maybe he only appeals to perfect men. That makes the demographic rather small! So there’s more of a way into this one – we do hope to up the male demographic!”

Lautner, who’s put on a huge amount of muscle to bulk up for the role, said of his role, “In Twlight, Jacob is this happy-go-lucky kid, but in New Moon when he shapeshifts into his wolf self, he becomes a totally different person. It was almost a split personality in the same movie and sometimes even in the same day.”

The magazine also features these two new individual ‘New Moon’ posters: one of Edward and one of Bella.

I actully disagree with half of this Artical. My boyfriend is not a freak fan of twilight but he does like it… And he in no way liked the character Jacob and trust me he is not the perfect eaither. He has his mistakes. And why would guys love twilight more, we were talking about it and watching shirtless guys through out the movie makes him NOT want to watch it with action in it or not .

I agree Amber! Jacob is flawed but that doesnt make him like all boys. Walking around shirtless is not what will make other guys watch this movie. They will watch it for the action DESPITE the fact Jacob is walking around trying to strut his stuff. I am getting tired of the Taylor/Jacob body focus. Yes taylor packed on the muscle, yes he looks good BUT constantly being reminded of that is only making me dislike him not the other way around. It is like seeing a guy who is really cute and has a great build….but that is all that seems to be focused on…..it becomes a turn off. The one thing people like about Rob/Edward is the modesty factor. He isnt constantly reminding people of how gorgeous he is. Good point Amber!
