Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz have closed deals to reup their roles in the next Twilight movie, “Breaking Dawn.”

Greene and Lutz signed contracts last nights, acccording to sources close to the deal.

Movie studio Summit Entertainment, which has made billions off the franchise, had been in negotiations with the two supporting characters since last week, but the two actors reportedly wanted pay increases for the next movie since the studio did not allow them to renegotiate on the second and third films.

Summit caved in after the two actors held out for more cash. “The studio realized how valuable Ashley and Kellan are to the franchise and did what they needed to do to keep them,” said a source close to the situation.

Reports said the kids have been trying to score paydays of $1.5 million. Sources said they two will receive close to that amount to continue on in their roles. “It was a good deal,” said the source.

The money is still much lower than what Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are supposedly pulling in.

“Breaking Dawn” will be the fourth and fifth movies of the Twilight franchises.

Oh Chrissy…I hope this is true girl! It’ll make my week if it is. So, now I guess we play the wait and see game. Funny, absolutely nothing official from any camp has been put out there about any of this. Does anyone think that if ANY of this crap is true, that now that a potential deal has been brokered…..that Summit will make a statement at all? Just wondering….:-)

i dont think they’d make a statement, cause it’s just a normal signing of contracts. like they dont make a statement about anyone else having signed their deals.
and because there was no official statement about the conflicts, there will be no official one about the resolution.
i hope someone still confilrms it though!

Sounds about right…..I’m with youthough Chrissy..still, I’d like someone to make it official ONLY b/c there were reports of conflict.

Oh yes….although the article above, actually, everything you read these days makes it seem as if Part 2 is a done deal…..which leads me to believe, it’s not. So, now we wait for that!

See like I said alls well that ends well. This was just your typical negotiations between stars and a studio what was the difference? The media blew it into this huge ordeal. Both sides are going to try and hold out to get what they want but both sides also know how valuable the other is. The reports just made fans freak out and the funny thing is I bet they had this meeting set up for a while and each side knew they would eventually come to an agreement. One thing to point out though, the first “source” said Summit was willing to throw someone out on the street to prove a point. Now this “source” says that Summit knows how valuable they are. One “source” got their facts wrong or was misquoted surprise surprise and I am betting it was the first. Summit doesnt air out their filthy laundry like that and every possible “source” is monitored and paid to keep their mouths shut so I doubt Summit even said that. What I think happened is that Summit tried to play hardball, Ashley and Kellan’s people werent having it since the franchise makes billions, and Summit realized they would call their bluff. I bet now all the Cullens get a raise in pay. I cant see just these two getting raises and others still getting the measley pay they got before. Sad thing is their raise is STILL NOTHING compared to what most stars would get for a billion dollar franchise that is going to work on at least four movies. Take the fifth movie rumor with a grain of salt though. Summit will probably announce it soon but they arent going to let any site confirm until they confirm. Summit only reveals what it wants revealed. Happy it all worked out and yea…..Twilighters just got worked up for nothing. It is what the media does my friends and they do it oh so well.

I guess that is one thing we will never agree on because I would be happy if they didnt try to drag out a book that already drags out and builds up to nothing. I wouldnt mind them extending the wedding scene but even in two films dont hold your breath for an intense honeymoon scene because of the rating issues. Plus what they can do visually is a lot quicker than what SM wrote. She described every single witness like it was a life or death necessity and I thought it was so the reader would be ready for the battle….which never even happened. It just led to nothingness and it was a bit disappointing. I am curious how they are going to show Jacob imprinting because reading it was creepy but seeing him look at a baby that way would be just gross. I think if any film would have been made into two it should have been Eclipse. So much happens and there are so many little side stories that they could dive into but unfortunately I think they are going to rush through it, smash it all together, and focus more on the battle than the other very important aspects like the Cullens, their bond as a family, Edward and Bella’s compromising, their reconnecting as a couple, and so forth. So much happens and yet it is being smushed into a two hour film. That is when they should have mimicked harry potter or lord of the rings and made it three hours…..they were three hours for a reason!

Summit had better give all the Cullens a raise, that would just not be right and would cause all sorts of problems. I’m just glad that this is all over now…..and we can now get on with the business of making a movie! Or two….who knows. Rachelle is right though, on that topic, Summit will be the one making that statement public and ONLY when THEY want TO!

Yeah, I don’t like all the smashing together either……why wasn’t Eclispe a longer movie? What exactly are they going to cut out to fit the run time? That’s no good for me, cutting stuff all the time. There are alot of important and pivotal things that take place in Eclispe…I would’ve liked to have seen all of those moments. Why can HP and LOTR get away w/ being 3 hrs a piece and not Twilight if that means the story gets told right?

Perfect example of how rushed it will be, supposedly they are only giving Rosalie’s backstory two minutes….are you kidding me! I hope someone is wrong about that and they are actually giving it the time and effort it deserves, same as Jaspers backstory but this just shows that there is so much going on in Eclispse that something will be sacrificed. When they said that BD would probably be two movies I was like…..you’ll break a movie in half that drags and builds up to nothing but not one that is packed with plot, drama, and action? Yea….that makes ton of sense you idiots!

About the raise thing, they are not really getting much..much less than i thought..

This is EXACTLY what they did for NM and it pissed me off. they had to follow the so called “run time” and they cut out good scenes..like the bike one with the guy and the bike. With Eclipse the are prob going to do that. I really dont like the cutting us I said..becuase they leave out good stuff sometimes important things…ugh!…I really want a longer movie..for NM it felt way too short..

I didnt think any scene they cut from nm as far as what was shown on the dvds was a good scene. In Twilight there were tons of scenes I wish they would have kept. However, I will say that there are tons of things from the book that should have been kept and were not even put in the script so I can just imagine what they left out of eclipse or barely touch on.

Ok so I heard that 2 films is confirmed and that Ashley and Kellen were trying to get $4 mil but they settled for $1.5 mil

Cassy 4 mil is what some sites were reporting but really it was 2million and they settled for 1.5 mill.

I’m glad Summit worked things out with Kellen & Ashely.

I think it would be a bit interesting to show in BD, the second one, the different Cullens on the quests to bring in the witnesses. SM didn’t really go into that in the book. We just knew that they were out there, but didn’t really know where they went or who they saw, or what they said to get them there. Not sure how much that would add to a movie though.

Just a thought.

Hell yes! Them going on the quest to get witnesses would be more interesting than the actual non existent battle they prepared for!

LOL..Rachelle, yeah I suppose it would. I am sort of interested in seeing how they portray Jane’s attacks on Bella’s shield, and of course Bella’s shield period, and also Jane’s “witch twin”, as it was put in the book, (can’t remember his name at the moment), his attack on Bella’s shield too. Those are all sort of unseen forces, so I’m interested on how they portray that. I’d be disappointed if they only talk about it & don’t show it in any way.

I would also be interested in another book by SM showing Rennesme’s development to full grown, Bella & Edwards progressing relationship, and the Cullen’s building power & over throwing the voltori. An actual battle with other covens & nomads banding together behind the Cullens. I think that would be a bit interesting.
