I love them both separately. I love Edward because I fell in love with him when reading the books before the movies even came out. Then I saw Robert Pattinson and heard him speak in an interview and I fell in love with his voice, his accent, his hair, his smile, etc. Once I saw him in Twilight, I imagined that he truly was Edward and I think his acting is amazing not just as Edward but in other films so for me yes Edward Cullen is the sexiest vampire and gentleman but I also love Rob for just being Rob. I think people get them confused so easily and sometimes that happens but I will support Rob in his other roles because he chooses interesting characters to play and well the reasons I love Edward are pretty straightforward. So really I cant choose because they are two totally different things. It is like choosing between HP and Twilight, there is no need. Rob is a real life person that I swoon over and Edward is a fictional character that I swoon over lol. |

Hey! Long time know hear from. And “Hi” Rachelle! Like I always tell my 11 year old Goddaughter, “I’m Team Rob because “Edward” is a character in a book; Rob is a real person. I’m an adult & I can tell the difference between reality and fiction …. but at this point – barely!” (It makes her laugh – but then she’s 11 years old! HA! HA) |

I agree with you that girls have gone a bit too far, and many seem incapable of separating the actor from the character. Personally however, as much as I like Robert Pattinson and respect him as an actor, and although I’ve seen (and love) all three movies, I have difficulty picturing him as Edward when I reread the books. Long before Robert was cast in the part, I always pictured William Beckett (from The Academy Is…) as Edward in my head, and for whatever reason, the image always stuck with me. Now, unfortunately I attribute many of Edward’s traits to the singer, even though I’ve only met him a handful of times and strickly on a fan/musician basis, and really know barely anything about his true personality outside of his music. So I guess, same effect, different victim… |

For me, I can see Rob as Edward because while there of course were differences, they werent so drastic that I couldnt adapt them once he was cast in the role. However, Jacob is a completely different story. There is no way in my head I would have ever imagined Taylor as Jacob and therefore when I am watching the movies, I see Taylor, not Jacob. They changed so much of Jacob to fit Taylor. His height, his hair, his huge body, his temper, his passion, and intimidation factor. I cant see Jacob in Taylor at all….okay maybe Twilight Jacob when he was just a little kid but definitely not wolf Jacob. |
