In an amusing new chart, The Rolling Stone magazine has listed the best and worst vampires of all time! Edward Cullen has (disappointingly) come in #10 (source), while Dr Carlisle Cullen is the best of the worst, taking the #1 spot (source)

Admirers of both sexes might name the Brit actor Number One for his humongous fan base. But as Edward Cullen, he has neither the fangs nor the balls to go for the human jugular when he can hunt Bambi or moon around Bella instead. What Pattinson does have: Byronic good looks that are unfakably hypnotic.

Facinelli is a solid actor, but playing Carlisle Cullen, the white-haired head of the fang-challenged Cullen vampire family, he looks about as terrifying as Project Runway winner Austin Scarlett, whom Carisle closely resembles.

And here is what Peter Facinelli had to say about all this! (according to Examiner.com) He takes it well!

Peter Facinelli was chosen as Rolling Stone’s “Worst Vampire” by Peter Travers for his work as “Dr. Carlisle Cullen” in the Twilight Saga films.

Peter Facinelli spoke out on Twitter about the win, joking “YES! I finally came in Number 1 in something!”

Facinelli went on to respond to the text of the article. “….Thank you Mr. Travers. As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire in nature, being the worst Vampire was quite the compliment. Although, you had me at ’solid actor’. I did find the comparison to Austin Scarlett utterly ridiculous though … He has way better cheek bones.”

Quite the comeback, don’t you think?

In other news, it’s really funny that they mentioned Austin Scarlett. My roommate and I are ridiculously addicted to “On the Road with Austin and Santino” & tonight we were watching it with our friend Christian who mentioned that Austin would make a great vampire! lol

why he is on #10 spot…he should be the top among all…Oh I just can’t take that my dear Edward is on spot #10.lol

Rolling Stone is trying to cash in on all the vampire fever spread by Twilight, True Blood and Vampire Diaries by creating a poll where they are at a disadvantage because it lists them with vampires who drink blood.

Carlisle Cullen is an amazing man and vampire and is on my top vamp list along with the rest of my Cullens. I find it funny that Edward made it to #10 on their best list based on their criteria or is it more a looks and popularity contest?

@dazzled eyes 22…you are very right girl!! Why did they put them with the vamps who drink blood? they know that the VD and the TB vamps are a in a whole different ball game…for me obviously it will always be the Cullens.

But i guess the fans of those are happy now lol…the vamp craze is getting old….but the Edward and Cullen craze will never get old …its becoming a whole which/whose vampire is better competition..there is no competion we all know who is jmo.
