Fandango issues this article on the lawsuit situation over the covers of these two competing Fork’s documentaries. You can draw your own conclusions. Feel free to comment.

I’m sure any die hard Twi-hard would be down to watch multiple Twilight-related documentaries, but Summit Entertainment isn’t too keen on giving you that option since, ya know, they want to gobble up all the Twilight for themselves (and who can blame them?). Essentially, there are two Twilight documentaries in the works right now – both of which revolve around the real-life Forks, Washington, and the affect the Twilight phenomenon has had on the small town, which, in the book, is the home of Bella Swan and all her weird, vampiric cronies.

The first doc, titled Twilight in Forks: The Saga of the Real Town, was produced by Summit Entertainment and will be released next month on DVD in conjunction with the release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Why not just release a doc like that on the New Moon DVD itself? Well, then you can’t make twice the money, can you?

Meanwhile, another documentary, titled Forks: Bitten by Twilight, was produced by a company named Topics Entertainment, and they’ve already sent fliers to retailers advertising their doc. Problem is Summit is taking issue with their DVD cover (both are pictured here), which features art that is very similar to Summit’s trademarked art and, as such, is very deceptive. Summit is now suing Topics Entertainment, and is looking to stop them from releasing the doc, among other things.

Check out the image of both DVDs in this post, and let us know what you think. Does Summit have an argument, or should both films be able to share space on the same shelf at your local retail store?

Have to admit summit is in the wrong here. They dont use the same font, they dont use the same colors, there is no deceptive art involved here.

Lame, sounds like Summit is just being money hungry, greedy people who only want their doc out….wait isnt that we have all been saying about Summit in the past? The studio has a rep for being greedy and petty. All they care about is money and will do whatever it takes to get it.
