Hopefully you have all heard by now about the Spencer Bell Legacy Concert in Dallas on April 24th and that Jackson Rathbone’s 100 Monkeys are a big part of the effort. We talked to the band about it in our interview in Tucson when they were on tour here. (If you didn’t see this crazy interview, you have to watch it!) Well, do you also recall there was going to be an auction for some really cool things? Here are the three items/experiences up for auction, all of which include getting to meet Jackson!
The auction started Monday, Feb 22, @ 10am EST and ends March 5th @ 10pm. Here is the link: In addition to the auctions, there are raffles and several contests to enter.
You can learn more about Spencer and his legacy at the Spencer Bell Memorial site. The money raised at the event will go to The Spencer Bell Memorial Fund @ the University of Michigan’s Adrenal Cancer Clinic. Spencer Bell was a friend to several of the band members, including Jackson, who died of adrenal cancer in 2006 at the age of 20. This is a great charity and Jackson and the band are a great people, so lets give them a lot support in making this a success. Related posts: |

In additon to the auctions, there are items being raffled and you do NOT need to be present to win. One of the items makes me really wish that I am not one of the organizers of this event…..someone will walk away with a signed 100Monkeys band portrait (note that all the bands will have a portrait including The Stevedores!) If you have heard of or been to a Bowling for Soup show, they donated a signed guitar. Simple Plan has donated autographed photos. How about this gem…a Kelly Rathbone one time only designed shirt signed by band. And be sure to check out the designs done for 100Monkeys by Punk You Chucks, because you can have your own unique Spencer Bell Legacy sneakers designed by them. punkyourchucks.com |
