The new trailer for Burlesque, a film which introduces singer Christina Aguilera into the movie world, features Cam Gigandet, the actor who portrayed “James” in Twilight.
In Burlesque, Gigandet portrays “Jack,” a bartender.
Burlesque is one of many new films which Gigandet is a part of, and it opens on November 24, 2010.
Gigandet recently appeared at Comic-Con to promote his movie Priest (co-starring Stephen Moyer and Paul Bettany), and that movie opens on May 13, 2011.
He’s also featured in Easy A, opening September 17th of this year, Kerosene Cowboys, opening November 7th, and The Roommate, hitting theaters on February 4, 2011.
While Gigandet is known for his work as the “bad guy” in movies like Twilight and Never Back Down, he certainly doesn’t seem to be extending that reputation into Burlesque.
Quite the opposite, in fact. Looking at the trailer, one can see that his character is instrumental in the progress that the protagonist “Ali Rose” (Aguilera) makes in the world of show business.
