I don’t understand why Rob or Kristen would want to work with Weitz. You want to work with someone who brings out the best in you. Catherine Hardwicke got amazing performances from them in Twilight including amazing sexual tension and Chemistry. That’s what people fell in love with all over the world. Chris Weits’s Edward and Bella looked so awkard and zombie -like on screen I was shocked. My friend and I were so disappointed whenever B&E were on screen. The beginning was poorly done and the ending was poorly done. We couldn’t wait for the reunion scene and it was a total letdown. Many of the reviews eluded to that fact as well. Weitz never established the love that would make Bella put herself in so much danger throughout the movie just to see visions of Edward. I have to say I’m a little worried Eclipse will be the same. |

I will have to disagree with Alice. No movie will ever amount to the books in general. I beleive that both of the directors so far have done a well job, didn’t capture nearly all that I would have wanted in both the flims but mainly in twilight Catherine left alot out. If you never read the books before the flim then you would just have a glimpse of the Bella and Edward love. |

Tim Burton???? NO WAY! His movies are always so wierd! I really don’t think that would suit the Twilight franchise very well. |

I had problew whith Hardwicke’s interpretation of Edward as he’s way funnier in the book than the movie. However, she did a great job of interpreting their love. Weitz failed miserably on that front. I even went back and read the begining and and the reunion again and yes From the love story angle he’s the wrong director. There was zero chemistry in New Moon. There was so much pandering it became cheesy after a while. You can sum up New Moon in two words. Taylor’s chest. |
