That was the message from our Forks Reporter, Diane, about the Eclipse movie she watched this evening in Chicago.

Diane and a friend were invited by Oprah to be at the taping of the Oprah Twilight Saga show tomorrow. In addition to that, they were treated to a special preview of Eclipse. By all accounts that I have heard, it was amazing. Hopefully, we will have more info tomorrow on the movie and the taping of the show.

I have been hearing nothing but awesome things about the rough cut that was shown to the audience. People who were in attendance are saying it stays true to the book and blows the others out of the water. I guess we will just have to see how accurate this is. For one, the final cut isnt done yet, the infamous reshoots havent been added, and people who saw New Moon before it was released had the same kind of comments to make saying it was better than Twilight which I do NOT agree with so….yea we’ll just have to wait and see.

I agree with you Rachelle. I hope they are right, but we can only wait and see.

And of course I am not trying to be cynical or pessimistic, it is just with all the rumors, speculation, and contradicting reports lately it is just better to wait and see for ourselves. That is always easier said than done….these next two months are going to be torture but at least we dont have to wait until november! We just have to wait until June 30 *sighs*

I’ve just read an article about the Oprah screening and it said that the movie features the TWO kissed bwt J/B AND the long anticpated tent scene!! And that was from someone who’d seen it! SO, while there was no talk of the leg hitch……I’m still holding out hope people……I KNOW it will be in there!!

Sounds like the overall consensus is yes we are excited and hoping and praying that Eclipse is the amazing movie it could easily be, but we also understand that hype is just hype and until we see it all we can do is wait. By the way…..I HATE WAITING!!!!

Some of the information I’ve read about the re-shoots were that they weren’t complete scenes but just clips I guess. Some of what they did was close ups of Bella/Kristen.

I sort of wonder if maybe they didn’t change any scenes, but maybe got pics of Kristen with her hair longer so they didn’t have to use the wig, or maybe with a little more emotion in the scenes.

I hope if they did change the scenes that they actually added more to the movie between Bella & Edward.

I so can’t wait for the movie now. I hope we all aren’t disappointed. I had to wonder though, when they first spoke of re-shoots, if they started listening to the fans and noticing what they really wanted. I started to wonder if they decided that maybe they focused too much on the newborns and not enough on the love story and that’s what made them re-shoot some. I’m hoping that’s the case and that they are adding more to the love story between Bella & Edward.

If not, then I think it will be a bad mistake for Summit & SM, and the actors. Everyone all around, even the fans.

I would have to imagine that the ring isn’t real, that would be way too expensive to give to an entire audience, but wow!! I don’t know what I would do with something like that though. I’m not much of a jewelry person.

Rob on the other hand, yeah he is a little bit younger than me, but older than Taylor. I don’t know if it’s just the movies & the photo shoots, but it seems that Rob has more of an air of maturity about him than Taylor does. Especially sexually, and I mean that in the way he presents himself.

Rob doesn’t act all “Look at my abs”, he’s more about being himself which just happens to be sexy. I’m sorry Rob, but you are!!

Becky you are on the right track as far as the reshoots. They are reshoots, not filming of new scenes. Pretty much a reshoot means something didnt look right during editing the film whether that be continuity….one second bella’s hair is one way then completely different the other type stuff….or the line didnt work, or lighting was screwed up, or yes even the wigs looked ridiculous. Those are the things that are reshot. The actors come in for a few days to reshoot a part of a scene and maybe a couple of lines are added or reworked but contrary to popular belief they didnt just go in and film a new scene or redo whole parts of the movie. The only thing I ever worried about when they mentioned reshoots is that Slade has until the end of May to finish and he is holding reshoots in May….cutting it a bit close dont you think!

Aw yes Chrissy I am sure that the “Team Jake” fans that were won over by Taylor’s abs in New Moon will be a dying breed because let’s face it, Taylor had his moment to shine but it is back to the Edward and Bella time. There will always be Team Jake fans. I dont have to understand the logic behind Team Jacob but hey what are you going to do lol. What I didnt like is how somehow these little teenagers became the voice of Twihards when they didnt read the books and just watched two movies to decide that somehow Jacob is better than Edward because he is “oh so totally hot.” Give me a break! That is what infuriated me and made Twihards look like shallow girls when actually shallow teenage girls are the minority when it comes to Twilighters in general! Okay sorry for the rant but that also bothered me about the NM Promoting. Summit made us out to look like materialistic chicks when most of us are grown women with actual thought processes behind our team preference.

I do feel bad for directors….I was one while I was in college and decided never to pursue a career as one lol. Pretty much directors get blamed for everything even if it is the script’s fault or other things you cant control. Am I completely on the director’s side, hell no. Slade knew what he was getting into. He knew that the fanbase was intense and demanded a great movie and he also knew that his schedule would be tight. It is always stressful while directing but maybe now it makes sense why Chris Weitz turned down the job for Breaking Dawn. He knew what would go into it and how demanding it is. The book was controversial and involves scenes and characters that will be hard to depict the right way…talk about setting yourself up for failure….so he respectfully declined. I think Catherine is just sitting back and laughing now. She did her thing with Twilight and they got these men thinking they could do it better but now they are struggling. Directing is one of those things. If the movie is a sucess then the director is brilliant but if it fails then the director gets all of the blame. I think Slade is in the zone right now and demanding a lot of himself, his cast, and his crew right now because he is in the crunch. He has to deliver. He has no choice in the matter and that is very stressful. That is one reason why I could see him being involved in a little tension between him, Summit, and Sm while in Vancouver. SM and Summit are on his back and the guy is trying to get work done…..that is a textbook case for director and studio drama. Hell I have snapped at a few people while in the middle of production before lol.

On that note, the LA Times has asked a mature person, me, why we are “addicted” to the Saga and so I am asking mature people…you, “Why are we addicted to the Saga?” Give me some good input ladies! I want to tell them all about our discussions on here so they can start to see the fandom isn’t just a bunch of hormonally charged teen girls but intelligent, thinking women, too. The question remains, though, why us? What is it about us that makes us love this whole thing so deeply?

For me it has everything to do with the love story between Edward & Bella. I think everything about the story is true to life in some aspect or another and we can all relate to someone in the story.

For me, I can relate to Bella and many of the things she goes through. I know if it were possible, I would make the same decision she did and spend eternity with Edward. I agree with Bella, that would be Heaven to me, to spend eternity with all the abilities of a vampire and enjoying life with the love of my existence.

I understand that it’s not possible, vampires are considered mythical creatures, not real. It’s still nice to think that there are guys out there like Edward.

Thanks for all the insight into a directors world. I’m a maintenance mechanic by trade, so not even close to having any concept of what directors go through. I guess it is just wishful thinking on my part. LOL.

It would be nice to have BD sooner rather than later, but not at the expense of a great movie. The only thing that would keep me from BD is if Eclipse is a complete failure. It doesn’t sound like it will be from the many comments of the lucky people who got to see it on Oprah, so I will be there.

I sooooo can’t wait for Eclipse to come out. I’m completely excited already. LOL

Chrissy & Stacie, you guys crack me up with your posts. I sometimes try to imagine what it’s gonna be like in the theater during Eclipse. I imagine screaming & cheers if the movie hits the key points and doesn’t gloss over them, and I imagine boo’s and yelling at the screen if they screw it up. LOL

Either way, I expect that I will probably have to see it 2-3 times like I did with New Moon. It took me that many times to hear everything, and try to make sense of it all. Then I read the books. I understood more then. I wasn’t too excited with the ending of NM, but after reading the books I understand it.

No worries Becky and you are definitely not the only one who isnt sure what goes on in production and who holds certain responsibilities. Most people dont know that because behind the scenes means just that, no one sees it unless they are the crew or it is being shot for a documentary and even then you get a skewed view of it.

To answer your question: I am obsessed with Twilight because Twilight pulls you into a world full of romance and dare I say a thought process of innocent love. You have this amazingly gorgeous vampire who is in love with a teenage girl. They are both virgins and this guy can sweep any girl off their feet. He has morals and not morals with ulterior motives like so many people have today. He doesn’t believe in pre-marital sex. He wants to save Bella’s soul and most importantly, he is a gentleman. I mean a true, good, wholesome gentleman who doesn’t just open doors, but also speaks to a woman like she should be treasured and is not an object. Then there is that twist, he is a vampire, a bloodsucking vampire who is constantly trying to stay in control even though every part of his body is against him. That control makes Edward irresistible and completely rare. Bella trusts him with her life and they overcome every obstacle because of who Edward is. He is going to save Bella even if it means sacrificing his eternal happiness. He would die for her. And in the end that is what I, like most women, want. Women want a man who can be a gentleman, even though he has temptations and a flawed side like everyone does, and will do anything for her because that is how a lot of women love, wholeheartedly. Bella and Edward’s love is what keeps me zoned in.

It has nothing to do with the Jacob triangle or how many times Jake walks around shirtless trying to be humorous. No, it is all about the Edward and Bella love mixed in with the Cullen family. The Cullen men are all different, but they have one thing in common. They will die for their mates and do anything to please them. Are they pushovers? No, they simply understand that they can be men and keep that pride plus be lovers. It is the same formula used in the medieval period pieces and the idea of the knight in shining armor, fierce protectors but lovers with beliefs in chivalry.

The action just adds some drama to reinforce the love that Bella and Edward have, but like a lot of TwiHards I think something is being misconstrued. We are not a bunch of over the top, lovesick, crazed, irrational women who can only think with our lust over Edward. No, we understand that there are flaws in some of the storylines, some things are not our favorite parts in the books, and you do not have to be unreasonable and defend Meyer’s plot and themes at all cost to be a TwiHard. There are a lot educated, talented women in loving relationships who love Twilight because it pulls them into a romance with a man who has everything. He is gorgeous, smart, sweet, witty, flawed, mysterious, and a gentleman. So why I am so addicted? It is pretty simple…..because everything that Edward is makes him my ultimate brand of heroin.

I love what Rachelle said at the end of her post…:Because everything that Edward brings and is is my own personal brand of heroin.” OMG!!!! I so agree, for me, it’s about Edward and Bella. Plain and simple. Their story, their epic love and desire for one another, the fact that they would both die for each other……that’s what we all want. For someone to love us dispite the fact that it is bad and wrong for them. For me, the series has been a way for me to escape the day to day…to spend some time in another place, to just lose myself. And most recently, it as allowed me to come here everyday and have amazaing discussions with people get and uunderstand excatly where I am coming from!

And like Rachelle said, even dispite how much I love it, I’m not blind to the fact that the books, the movies are flawed. I can point all of that out and still be a true fan at the end of the day because I can see the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly….we can have intelligent, educated conversations about what we love and not just because Jacob’s abs are soooo hot. All of that paints us in a bad light.

OK, ladies, i have a confession to make. You know how i promise to tell you why i LOVE twilight so much? well, i just wrote why – and it’s 1300 words. I am going to post it as 3 separate comments, you can decide NOT TO BOTHER reading if you don’t want to, but I will put it up just in case.

I apologise for its length, but once i got started, i couldnt stop myself and i go carried away discovering MORE and more reasons.

So here will follow the 3 parts of my mini “Why I love Twilight” essay

ps. this i wrote entirely for myself, rather than to share. it’s messy and confusing perhaps, but it’s me. if you decide to read – ENJOY

Explaining why I love “Twilight” is like having to explain why I am who I am, it seems easy, but then when you actually start writing it, you realise that there is so much more to unwrap and explain…
The simplest reason of all – Twilight makes me happy. And I mean profoundly, truly, head-over-heels happy. It’s such a thrill for all my senses – every time there is something new to read/look at/listen to that is Twi-related in ANY way, I hardly keep my breathing in check. Ok, I even hyperventilate a little (…a lot) and my heart beats almost out of my chest.
I’ve always been a romantic soul who gets emotional quite easily and discovering Twilight only triggered that part of me. I only discovered the first book a month before the first movie came out and I wasn’t keen on it in the very beginning. Once it had captured me – that was it- the end of my life as I knew it. To be perfectly honest, I loved the sexual tension between Bella and Edward in “Twilight” and that just made me want to read more and more. For a 18 year old (at the time), this was like my life on paper (ok, maybe without the vampire part )! I recognised some parts of myself in Bella – the insecurities, the crushes on the wrong guys, the shyness and the desire to be independent.
I couldn’t let go of books 2, 3 and 4 until I was completely done with the saga… I wasn’t absorbed, I was transfixed, living and breathing in the Twilight universe. And only now, looking back, I can see why it got me so addicted.

It’s the love story. It is the reason I LOVE the saga so much. Edward’s relationship with Bella is what kept my eyes on the pages for hours and hours. But NO, it’s not Edward’s looks, the crooked smile, the golden eyes or the sexy/messy hair. They helped, of course (I do have hormones too!!!), but there is so much more!
Edward waited for Bella for more than 100 years. ONE-HUNDRED-YEARS!!! He lived his eternal life without happiness and light, struggling to be alone and having lost hope that SHE, the one for him exists. This fact alone makes me shiver with awe. I compare him to men nowadays, who don’t have the patience to even talk to you, if you don’t “cover their criteria for looks” for example… men, who wouldn’t even wait for you 5 minutes if they thought they had more important business to attend to.
And then you have Edward. A man who has lived a century without taking advantage of his looks and charm, just because he didn’t feel that special connection we all want in our lives. He doesn’t even look for the One, he lives in the misery of blaming himself for who he is, believing he has lost his soul. And then, only then, when his existence seems pointless and eternally damned, does he find Bella.
What woman wouldn’t want a man who has waited for her his entire life? A man who appreciates her and loves her and takes care of her as if she is the SINGLE most important thing in his life… Because for Edward there is nothing without Bella – no family ties, no hope, NO LIFE at all. His love is stronger than human feelings or werewolf “imprinting” because he is a vampire. That much devotion cannot be possible for a human man. But nonetheless, we love to believe that such men exist among us. We crave Edward just as much as we know he does not exist. We believe in our perfect match made-in-heaven, because we dream about life of love and care, beyond the mundane and the routines of work-eat-sleep.
There is SO MUCH MORE to life and the Saga proves it. It’s not just what you do every day or how you interact with those around you. Life, as the Saga taught me, is about that endless, meaningful, unquestionable LOVE we can feel for another person. And who cares if he’s not a vampire? Or that he hasn’t really waited all his life for us? Or that we have had our “Jacob” moments before him?

Call me a dreamer, but I believe we can feel love so strong that Edward’s would seem like a teenager’s crush… Bella is the proof. She doesn’t fell the magical vampire love, but the human version. That is why she is confused, scared, unsure and often ruled by hormones. But this is also why she fights for it – because she knows that if she gives up on this love too easily, it can slip away. She risks her life, she does the unthinkable, and she goes against the laws of nature to defy all odds… because she loves Edward too.
Of all the magical and mythical creatures, her love turns out to be the strongest. It may be flawed and insecure, but it is there. It’s human, it’s real and it’s what brings her happiness at the end of “Breaking Dawn”.
You may talk to me about fictional characters and love that doesn’t exist and I will tell you – look at Bella and the depth of her feelings. Even if Edward’s love doesn’t exist, Bella’s can and I believe this from the bottom of my heart. And this is why I love Twilight – everyone thinks it’s about the vampires and the werewolves, but the end it is the human girl with her unfathomable HUMAN LOVE towards those in her life that brings the story to its happy ending. Yeah, maybe you’d say it’s her vampire abilities that help – but I say she wouldn’t be a vampire if she didn’t love Edward so truly.
There is this amazing place in the honeymoon chapter in Breaking Dawn, when Bella is so human – dreading the night she will spend with Edward and fearing that she wouldn’t know what to do. This is one of the places that truly touched me, because it’s not often that we find emotions so sincerely written down on paper. It was like Bella was voicing all my fears, expressing all my uncertainties and giving me an example of how to handle them.
And I love her for that. And I love Edward for triggering all this in her that is human and therefore, so ME
Just to wrap up – love stories exist, they happen and they take our breaths away. We don’t need vampires to love truly, madly and deeply. The Twilight Saga gives me hope that I will, someday, find my ‘Edward’ – as humanly and as flawed as he will be- and that I will have my love story: with struggles, fights, insecurities…. and a HAPPY ENDING

That was so beautiful!! I agree. There are so many things that I actually went through last year that mirrored Bella’s actions. The interesting part is, I didn’t know that until I read the books in late November, early December time frame.

I too couldn’t put the books down until I finished the whole saga. When you talked about the depth of love that you believe is out there, that really spoke to me. I had given up on the thought that it’s out there, until I read the saga. It helped awaken the belief in me again, and really helped me through the worst time in my life.

Last year I was out of work until November. I had been out of work since November the previous year. My husband filed for divorce. He truly made me feel as though I was worthless, a big nothing, not worth being alive, as he did for the past 20 years. I had lost everything, my family, job, car, everything. I literally spent much of the year laying, sleeping, sitting, eating on my couch. I didn’t go out or do anything. I didn’t have anyone to do anything with except my parents & kids. I shut myself out and didn’t do much of anything. My parents had started coming over to my apartment & calling me more frequently, especially if I didn’t answer or return their calls.

I sometimes went to movies by myself. I truly hadn’t even paid attention to Twilight. I remember hearing my daughter talk about it a little, and my son & his girlfriend. It wasn’t until I promised to take my son to New Moon that I decided to get the books and see what the hype was all about. I had seen Twilight prior to New Moon, but I didn’t focus much on it.

Once I read the books, it brought me alive again. I started thinking to myself that if someone can write about love like that, maybe there are actually people out there who are capable of it. It may all sound silly, but it’s true.

If I could only find someone who could love me even half as much as Edward loves Bella, and someone who has half of Edwards morals, I’d be happy. I don’t know what I’d do with myself if I found someone who loved me like Edward loves Bella and had those manners & morals. I’d be putty in his hands.

I guess it all gives me hope again. To see Rob & Kristen so happy together, makes me happy for them. It also reminds me that people aren’t all like my ex. (Well, very soon to be ex.)

I don’t know where I’d be if it wasn’t for my kids, my parents, and the Twilight Saga. Just finding this site and seeing the comments of others who think like me, does my heart good.

My FB posts have taken a turn to the happier side & I smile much more often. So, I can actually relate to Edward too. I too am waiting to find the one who is going to be the love of my existence.

Sorry, didn’t mean to dump or rant, but Chrissy’s post touched me and brought it all out.

Becky you are very brave soul girl, very brave. Thank you so much for sharing that about yourself with well, strangers virtually. I’m glad that you could feel so comfortable with us that you would share such a private and personal piece of yourself.

I’m glad that Twilight and it’s whole “universe”, us here at CBA included has brought you back so much happiness. I think that’s great, and wonderful and so beautiful. You see, that’s another reason why I love Twilight so much. It’s more than just a series of books, it has the power to unite people, to bring people joy, happiness and light and that’s a powerful thing. So no, I don’t think any of us Twihards OR Stepahnie are silly, I think we are powerful.

I am just getting to really, slowly, read all of these and WOW! You told me before that you “get” me when I say that this is all so important to me and I have to say I certainly “get” you in what you have said here. Your words so much better express what I feel and what I see in the Saga then anything I could say or write. What you have said – it is like you were reading straight from my soul.

wow, just discovered all this and i wouldve been so mad at myself it i hadnt been looking around to see anything i had miss. then i ran into this..

For me, one of the things i love about this series is the religious aspect of it..Stephanie is a mormon so i am not suprised at that..as a PK (pastor’s kid or daugher) i didnt get too much likes for reading a book about vampires..when otheres in my family found out..even now my mom still refuses to read it..my grandmother finally after me asking her many times read it and she loved it immediately..she thought it was just the vampire book like those Anne Rice books and wanted to stay as far from it as possible..but when she read it and saw the love between Edward and Bella she was in awe! complete awe! Of course, Edward is mythical and there willl never be a man like him but I personally believe in a God that is able to love like that..i connect this all back to twilight and the unconditional love Edward has for Bella.

Sitting down to observe all the boys/men these days the way they treat their significant others, it baffles me..dont get me wrong i am not saying all of them are this way but now things have completely changed..watching my 19 year old cousin and her bf daily just saddens me!! They way he treates her and has no respect for her..many are like this these days..just wanting only that one thing! I love how Edward despite all the other women that came onto him even some as beautiful as Tanya and Rosalie…he still stayed true to Bella and treated her like she was the best thing in the whole world..we women want that..someone to connect with us emotionally and love us for who we are, not what we have or what we look like.. Bella did not have much money, she was described as average and still, Edward loved her like she was the best thing that has ever happend to him..as Chrissy said, the way they are able to love each other despite their circumstances..their love is so strong nothing could put them apart…not the volturi, Victoria, James, Laurent, or even the one and the onlJacob Black..despite everything they went through nothing could break their love! It just shows that love conquers all!! Being a hopless romantic this series really made a mark on me.

Thank you all for sharing you trully touched my heart..and i dont mind sharing my information on here with you guys because i take you guys as my sisters…twi-sisters…as corny as that sounds i feel that way

Trish, that was wonderful, and very insightful. All of you said it so much better than I did. I just couldn’t, didn’t know how to get the words out. Everything all of you have said has really just touched my heart, and appreaciate that you all shared it with us. Coming here everyday has been loving Twilight a much richer experience for me because I know now that there are others out there, like me, who have this intense passion, this craving for all things Twilight! Thank you all for the very nice comments. I don’t know how brave I am, but Chrissy’s post brought it out of me. It hit on a point that was very dear to my heart.

I am not ashamed because I know in my heart that I tried everything possible. I know now that it didn’t make a difference & there is nothing I could have done.

I used to talk about the love that SM writes about & Chrissy wrote about. I used to tell him that is the kind of love I would like to have. He would only say, that only exists in fairy tales. There’s no such thing.

Ok, I had a post but I think I took too long to write it. I got side tracked by a blast from my past. What a good blast it was too. It got me to thinking.

You know, the closest I ever got to an Edward showed up about 25 years ago. He was wonderful & sweet. The only person who ever said “No” at a chance. We did later though. I miss that feeling that I had with him.

Anyway, I had been writing to post a Thank YOU to everyone who posted such nice comments. I truly don’t think I’m all that brave, it’s just that Chrissy’s post moved me so much & was something near and dear to my heart.

I agree that Chrissy’s & Rachelle’s posts should be used if they allow it. There are so many ways to verbalize why we are addicted to the Saga. I don’t mind if what I have written is used, but I know others have verbalized it far better than I.

Chrissy, I love that song you posted. I had the one Billy Joel sang. It was sort of my theme song back in high school when I had my Edward.

If it’s still around now, it’s in the house with ‘The Slug’. He still has a lot of my stuff. Sorry, I call him that because he leaves a slime trail everywhere he goes. I’m sort of surprised his girlfriend hasn’t felt it yet, but she will eventually. I sometimes get a tinge of pity for her, but then it goes as quickly as it comes. LOL

Anyway, that song brings back happier times for me. I’m gonna post the Billy Joel version on my FB. I’m not exactly as cruel as the song indicates, but I think it’s the actual contradiction in the song that holds true. I think women can change instantly almost & I think some men find that intriguing and sexy.

I just want to say that while I was married, I let go of a lot of my friends from before the marriage. I didn’t make many friends at all during the marriage. I was dedicated to my family, plus I knew that my husband was insecure and jealous type. I tend to befriend guys much easier the women, I’m not sure why. When my husband filed for divorce and we no longer were living together I had no one. I have since started talking more to others and working on getting back in touch with old friends.

It really does make me happy to read all the comments and share my thoughts with you guys here. I’m doing everything I can in my life now to make myself smile again. Lately, that’s all I’ve been doing. So, really the thanks goes to all of you guys who share your thoughts here too.

Oh, and we really can’t leave Stephanie Meyers out either. If it weren’t for her writing about Bella & Edward, we wouldn’t have this place or the saga. It still amazes me that a set of books can have that much impact on me and many other people. I wonder sometimes if SM really realizes how her stories have affected other people. I know she knows about the craze over the books & moves, but she always seems to indicate that she’s shocked by it.

Yeah, but I remember an interview that she did where she said that the characters were important to her, but that she isn’t quite sure why they are important to anyone else.

It seemed as though she understands there’s a craze out there because of her books & the saga, but she doesn’t understand why.

Maybe the characters are important to her for other reasons. I don’t know.

You also have to remember that SM did not plan on sharing these characters with anyone but her sister. It was supposed to be a gift but nothing that would be published so yes she is still confused on how a very basic idea to write something turned into this huge phenomenon. Plus a writer always will feel like they are more connected to her characters than others will and everyone will have their own personal reasons why they love and favor certain characters over others. For some reason, she is in love with Jacob even though there are tons of fans who cant stand the guy so it just goes to show you that while a writer is the one bringing the characters to the public, the fans will interpret them however they want. She said in an interview she was shocked by how many ppl didnt like Jake and the backlash of him imprinting. That is because what she finds as attractive characteristics and good story ideas differs from what other people might like. So really SM wrote the books but mostly for herself and it just happened to become this huge thing.

I so agree Rachelle, which brings me back to my original statement wondering if she knows how she has affected peoples lives with her books.

Yeah Becky, SM has a brother named Seth. If I were him, I’d be pleased. Seth the character in the book is a great kid! I loved him, he is actually the only werewolf I did like.

Been so busy i dint have time to watch the Oprah interview till today, but did you guys watch the whole thing?!? Those twimoms…i have to admit its kind of scary and creepy!! I mean i love twilight and most of all you guys but i dont go to that extent..the part, the food, the poster..and that poor little girl who said “I think mommy loves Edward more than me!” LOL…

I wanted to discuss it with you guys..do you think some ppl are taking this way too far?!? i mean that is a duh question but i want to here your views…I loved the explainations you guys gave of loving this series…but that thing i saw freaked me out…i mean i love twilight and the epic lovestory cut c’mon..i think there are two sides of this fandom..the crazy obsessed that they do everthing related to it and those who just like it for loving it…i might be alone on this but do they really have to take it this far..they are kinda setting a stereotype especially since it was on the Oprah show..I am not talking about when Rob knocked on the doors even i wouldnve reacted lke that…they are making the rest of us look psychotic jmo..my sister wa saying the same thing…owning all the twilight merchandise and creating rooms dedicated to the series is too much…i barely own twilight merchandise but i still love the series…the wall and posters thing is just silliness…i wanna know what all of you your views are on this because this is how i feel.

I was thinking all along when they were showing them, Kristen & Rob must have been really freaked out by them. I know I would be & I was. I’m not even Kristen or Rob, but I was still creeped out by them.

My daughter was over & we watched the show together once I got off work. I told my daughter, “see I don’t go even close to that far”. (My daughter makes fun of me because I’m a fan).

Yeah, about the weirdest thing I do is read the books over & over again, but I haven’t done that in a while since I found Twilighted & FanFiction, and CBA. I also watch the movies over & over again. I did that with Twilight before New Moon came out. It & the books were my drug of choice. LOL. They actually relaxed & calmed me down from the stresses of the day.

I’m with you on this one. I was truly creeped out by them & felt so bad for not only Kristen & Rob, but Taylor too. I did think that bed was a bit freakish too. I told my daughter when I saw that scene, “That’s a little freaky if you ask me”. My daughter agreed.

I could see that Kristen was a bit freaked out too. I could see that she tried to smile & look like it was all normal, but you could tell in her mind she was thinking “God, what freaks”.

But then I saw some pics without the hat and it’s not that short on top…. and also, he had to do it for the new role in Water for Elephants… (considering that he plays someone called Jacob Jancowski, you can expect him to look worse…. it comes with the name LOL). No no, it’s for the role, don’t worry!

Unfotunately, my feelings towards Kristen are quite deeply rooted, even from before the first film was even ready. Of course it’s nothing personal, I obviously don’t know her, but there is something about her I don’t like. And yeah, Rob and Kristen look ok together, but as friends, not as “let’s get steamy together” LOL

OMG, this reminds me – has any of you ever had dreams about Edward or Rob? I have had some and the most recent one was about a month ago and it involved me and Rob making out after a fashion show….. it was WOW! This man has taken over my dreams as well.

On the question of the twi moms on Oprah – I found it so funny in the beginning and then I started getting creeped out by the second and once the little girl was like “mommy loves edward more than me” this just did it! i mean come on! if you ignore your husband because of edward, it’s one thing (cause often the reason is much deeper than the edward crush, it actually is the husband). but when your kids feel left behind cause you cant live without your daily dose of fictional characters, this is just over the top.

personally, i love having the posters in my room, im very much like the university girls on oprah (not tht crazy though). i live in an uni dorm and i’ve loved putting stuff on my walls for years, so now you can see edward’s/rob’s face everywhere you turn. but i think that being 19 and doing this is completely different to being 40 with husbands and kids, and doing this, especially in a separate room! wow, they need to get a life!

Oh Chrissy, you wait and see it will happen..trust…what did you say it is about her?!? did she say something…maybe her attitude?!? she has that i dont give a shit attitude a lot! heard perez hates her too…he says all kinds of nonsense about her and brings her down but perez is a diffeernt story..i didnt used to like her that much at first but she grew on me..and i figured if ROb like her or has a thing for her and it looks like she makes Rob happy…truly..ones Rob is happy i am happy so…

And i also think she has change..sort of. She has become more intuned with her character and it looks like she cares more..give her another chance..I too dont agree with some of the things she does which i wont mention but i think you all know but she grew on me.

i’ve said it before, but again – Kristen is just not my Bella. Maybe i have a different idea of Bella’s personality or character than everyone else, but I really don’t see Bella the way Kristen portrays her. I don’t know if you watch the Vampire Diaries, but Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena, would have made a great Bella in my opinion. Maybe a bit too feisty, but not as lifeless.

This is my main issue with Kristen – not the “i dont give a s**t” attitude, i find it kinda cool. It’s the feeling that she doesn’t have life in her, it’s the lack of smiles. Even the USA today article said that “known not to smile in public” was a notable feature of hers. I understand that she is shy and feels extremely awkward with all this attention, but she doesn’t need to look miserable all the time. I have seen her smile and it’s obvious that she is capable of emotions, especially around Taylor and Rob, but I just wish she could feel a bit more comfortable.

But as I said – if they are together (which im 99% sure they are), I wish them happiness. If Rob is happy, I am happy too, just like you said Trish. And if he sees something in her that makes him want to be with her, fair enough!

she has grown on me too – before, i used to really dislike her with a passion. now im much more neutral, but i seriously dont think there will be a time when i will actually like her.

Anywho…..Chrissy, no need to worry about offending and/or upsetting anyone. I think we all need to issue a disclaimer that states something like:”We here at CBA respect any and all opinions even if they differ from our own. Thank you”…….no one is going to go and knock down your door b/c you don’t have warm and squishy(spl?) feelings for KStew. Confession: I too did not care for her either. Her attitude, her sour expressions…..but like Trish says, she has grown on me. As for her not being your Bella, I can see that, but for me, b/c I saw Twilight the movie AND then read the books…she has always been Bella. SO….I do think that she has matured alot over the post two-thre yrs and she has really embraced her character more. Not lecturing anyone, or trying to turn you over to our side LOL, just saying.

As for her and Rob…I think Trish and I are in the minority of Robsten fans. PPL are really into Edward and Bella, but not Rob and Kristen. I just think that they are very cute together and really into each other…NO pun intended! I’d like to think that they take care of each other out there in the big, bad world.
